They're now announced just under 2/3 of the titles they've licensed from MGM at 59 films out of 90 by my count

I thought there were only 70 titles in the first batch. Also added Drum (1976), which is coming from Scorpion/Kino on November 4.

You may be right, I may be crazy. But it just may be a lot more titles I'm looking for

They've strongly hinted at a follow-up license deal, though, so hopefully that happens.

Hopefully they've listened to the suggestions of the people or have a good game plan for a second wave, as they probably can't tell what's selling reliably so soon after release

Wasn't The Long Goodbye rumored to be a November release at one point? Is that not in the works anymore?

Weirdly, Kino only lists a DVD version of
the Party (with a different cover too)
on their site-- every other KL release has both DVD and Blu-ray listed on the same page. Is this just an error or has the Blu-ray been canceled/delayed?

Reviews state that On The Beach is out-of-sync. Pathetic...

Awesome. A must for anybody who's even remotely a fan of Westerns, Nicholson, Brando or Arthur Penn.

I like several of those unreservedly and I still think it's pretty horrible, though Brando's performance choices here are weirdly fascinating (as they often are)

I take it you've seen the film recently and/or more than once? Because I probably would have said the same thing myself after the first time I saw it years ago. It's no Little Big Man to be sure, but then again, what is? Missouri Breaks might be a minor work, but it's a gorgeous film with a wayward languid quality that's often implied by the genre but not often so fully embraced.

Going to have to go with Dom on this. It is a weirdly fascinating movie, but the Nicholson stuff seems left over from a different and far less interesting movie.

Always thought the messy unmade bed feel of the picture somehow feels right for the script's elements of berserko McGuanity that Brando channelled particularly well. The various failed attempts of men attempting to reconcile sport and domesticity in the wilderness of the frontier are recognisable from several of McGuane's novels. Plus, one of the great throat-cuttings.

Another inexplicably bad auteur-helmed 70s film!

YESSSSSSSSS! No need to import the ridiculously expensive Swedish release. Very, very happy about this. I hope IMAGES is next-up! Though this seems ripe for an Arrow release, no?

This is nonsense. I thought this too initially on my first viewing and didn't even finish, but you have to be in the right frame of mind for the brilliant satire of this film. A second viewing catapulted this film into top tier Altman for me. Relax, have a glass of wine, and try again domino!
