Next BD catalog release (presumably on 6/30 if their current pattern of a release every two weeks holds) is:

Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991)

The only DVD they released (at least in the US) was open matte 1.33, so being 1.78 alone should be a remarkable improvement.

That title doesn't look like WAC at all, but I've given up trying to make sense out of it.

Apparently the US DVD was an R rated cut, but the overseas DVD releases were an Unrated cut. Wonder which, or both, the Blu-Ray will be.

The Warner Archives Blu-ray line is the most elaborate trolling in home video history. I'm sure their next two announcements will be the Prodigal and Strictly Business

Well, one of their stated goals at the beginning was to get titles that only got full screen DVD releases out as widescreen releases, so it fits in that regard.

Also, release date per WA twitter is 7/21.

I wonder if that means we'll go a month without any BD releases, or of there are other releases scheduled between now and then? I know Wolfen got announced before Thank Your Lucky Stars was, but the latter got released before the former. (They had been going at a solid release-every-two-weeks pattern since 42nd Street.)

It seems this year's output is on par with last year's, which means we're probably getting some 10 more titles until December.

If you look at it from a strictly catalog titles angle, they've released 2, 4, 11, and then 7 in 2015 so far. Hopefully they release more than just 4 more this year to surpass the 2014 output for catalog titles.

The DVD looks awful, this is a welcome upgrade even if I like the film less every time I see it
