Weird that this is up on DVDEmpire and not on Criterion, but it looks great. Obviously Ashes & Diamonds is the selling point of this set!

maybe criterion are still finalizing the individual films covers, and want to wait until they are all ready before posting them.
edit: By the way, it is a very good cover, so i hope its "official", and they keep it.

Divorce Italian Style is by Jaime Hernandez (if any further confirmation was needed) -- and I love it!
About the Wajda cover art: it sure doesn't appear to be by the artist that Mulvaney said was doing it (the link is earlier in this thread).

maybe that was (one of) the reason(s) for the delay.
the two official covers this month are amazing, and i like the wadja box, but it looks a little wide to me and that dvd logo is horribly placed (and probably one of the reasons the image looks too wide).

I really like the April covers! Does anyone else think that on the Divorce Italian Style cover the lady being blasted off in the rocket in the top middle row is a sly nod to Solaris?
Or am I reading too much into the covers now!

A nod, yes, but definitely
not to Solaris. (And/or it's possibly something that happens in the film -- I haven't seen it.)

Great covers on these two. That definitely looks like a Hernandez (Love and Rockets) cover. The F for Fake is is great too. I'd love to own a poster of it.

I totally agree on that.
All the text and logo parts are horribly placed and are weakening the rest of the wonderful graphic artwork.
Nevertheless: Criterion is back on track in style with their recent covers.

for Jules et Jim if you like the artist and don't like the cover, think of how beautiful the menue will look. I look at that more than the cover.

also: La Strada, Sullivan's Travels, L'avventura, Passion of Joan of Arc, In the Mood For Love, and to a lesser extent, Contempt, Rules of the Game, The Silence, and Diary of a Chambermaid. That was fun.
