Every announcement day Criterion adds pages for actors or crew members, you change the number in the address (for example 006 to 007) and keep on doing that till you get to a 404 page. Add the 404 page to your favorites and keep on checking every day until they make it a phantom page. They usually add pages on Fridays.

I will definitely buy Dressed to Kill, even though I wish it had a commentary.

Nothing jumps out to me as an immediate purchase, but then I've only seen Night and the City and Day for Night, both of which I didn't quite like enough to probably own.

They've clearly had this little gag planned out for some time, so I'm quite miffed they've neglected to announce
The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd: The Complete Series this month.

Eh, not a great month, but I do love Day for Night (easily ranks as my favorite Truffaut, along with The 400 Blows), so I won't complain too much. Shame the Varda's couldn't have been given a Blu-Ray box set (haven't seen any yet, but they do seem very interesting).

One of my favorite films of all time Dressed To Kill. Everything else is gravy.

If only they could confirm pronto if the British cut of Night and the City is in 2k at least. If it wasn't for the Dassin, it'd have been another month to write off regarding the mainline announcements.

Though I'm naturally disappointed that Varda's California films get dumped into Eclipse (although I'll still certainly buy it, and the subject manner is of high interest to me), its otherwise a good month. I'm probably most looking forward to the Truffaut and Night and the City. Excited to see the WB floodgates finally open - after years of speculation since Badlands.
I like the Day/night theme for the month (its like TCM's lineups of films - things like "films with Murder in the title" day). Too bad though that they didn't see fit to throw Brighter Summer Day into the theme or all of the other films speculated/forthcoming with night in the title: Chimes at Midnight, Night and Fog in Japan, Diamonds of the Night, The Night of Counting the Years, and Midnight Possum.
All of the announced titles (except the
Night and the City upgrade) were
speculated/rumored.

On the Criterion reddit someone posted saying that they were at SFIFF and Paul Schrader screened a 2K restoration of Mishima:

So six new releases in September and moonrise kingdom at spine 777 I'm guessing, do maybe a box set of Harold Lloyd talkies?

I just noticed that The French Lieutenant's Woman has an interview with Carl Davis, thus explaining that Facebook post a while back (when we thought it would be for Napoleon/Lloyd/etc).
re: Mishima - That Reddit news more explicitly stated: "Criterion sent us a new 2K Restoration!" I do hope they keep the great digipack for the eventual blu ugprade. Also hope that Patriotism gets upgraded in the process.

Great news about Mishima. It's one of those DVDs I never grabbed since I had gone Blu by that point. And I can see them putting The Patriot on the same disc Bergman Island / The Beales of Grey Gardens style.
