…must love dogs? Really? Is there some executive at Warner who just gets a laugh out of fucking with the Archive by sending them random crap?

Who in charge thinks these are better options than Air Force or Stage Door

At least we got Humoresque — does that complete the first Crawford box?

Well I’ll be damned, the sons-of-bitches finally did it. Yes, the first Joan Crawford collection box is finally complete.

I recall catching this on TV every once in a while back in the day. Still have the theme song stuck in my head. I'd be curious to revisit it if only to see how horribly it's held up.

That’s Entertainment is advertised as from a 2024 remaster, at least.

If they’re going to remaster one of those, though, at least do the third one with all the exclusive footage (or That’s Dancing, which isn’t on Blu)

Starting with October’s releases, WA discs have a new MSRP of ~$26.99. Previously 24.99 (and 21.99 before that). So better hope your favorite sells really poorly so Amazon’s algorithm lowers it enough!

I noticed that too when I was checking Amazon for a copy of Lewton's Isle of the Dead (which strangely is out of stock unlike Bedlam/Ghost Ship so I hope it's getting a reprint). The Welles comes up in my site recommendations a lot so I just figured the price was fluke until it gets discounted a little before release date.

I keep hearing that the encodes are current releases aren't as consistent as before but can anyone give their word on the encode for Act of Violence? shoddy, decent or great?

There was only one month where they used less space than usual on some of the discs for their encode, and the affected films were Nun’s Story and Friendly Persuasion (and maybe one more, but it wasn’t Act of Violence)

Amazon has a lot of WA titles they have not restocked since Prime Day this summer, it might just be one of those. I believe, with rare exceptions, no WA titles go OOP, so you likely should be able to find it at other retailers at any rate if you’re trying to acquire before Halloween

Humoresque is released in 4 weeks and is still not listed for sale anywhere?

Amazon tends to get it up a few weeks before release date, but it’s not too uncommon to wait this long

On 26 November Warner is releasing Looney Tunes Collector's Choice vols 1-4 in a box, I'm guessing similar to the slimline box they used for the Bogart/Bacall films
