Given how generally totally unremarkable A24's BD releases by Lionsgate have been, I really do hope they find another studio capable of giving just a little bit more thought and consideration towards presentation, if not Criterion.

Welp, now I can't get the thought of a Spring Breakers release out of my head.

And considering Criterion's Warner deal, perhaps even
Gummo and
julien donkey-boy!

Spring Breakers is luckily the only Korine film remotely worthy of a Criterion release

Spring Breakers is magnificent, but I would walk through fire and brimstone to buy a Criterion deluxe ultra-super duper Gummo blu-ray. An incredible film, and I'm fairly sure I bugged the shit out of them about during their original New Line/Fine Line arrangement a million years ago.

My household must be alone in thinking that SpringBreakers was the absolute worst thing Korine has directed.

Personally, I wouldn't mind Trash Humpers on BD. But that's just me.
And it may only be me.

Even
I won't be defending
Trash Humpers!

Seems like a blu-ray would go drastically against the film's "concept" of being shot on the cheapest, worst VHS cameras available, with the aesthetics not mattering in the least.

According to the website there are still two 35mm prints available for sale, so don't slum it with just a bd.

Finally someone talking sense! It boggles my mind that MoC has released this and Criterion has not!

Roma, Raise the Red Lantern and Rhapsody in August seem like the most logical of the MGM "World Films" DVDs for Criterion to acquire that so far they haven't. They did finally release Satyricon, so I'd be shocked if Roma wasn't on their radar.

I'd hazard a guess we won't see it at all because the transfer is terrible...

"Blood Simple" (and of course many more) sound editor Skip Lievsay was at their offices, too:

It will make my year if Criterion can release Zhang Yimou's "To Live."

Criterion on Facebook just posted a headshot of Sharon Tate on their page; Valley of the Dolls seems all but confirmed for release if there was any doubt before.
