You guys are probably right, but trust me, I have received so many individual pre-orders from them previously and never paid shipping. It is just annoying that I ended up paying 11.50 GBP for 3 orders. I should have placed one, gigantic order.

You probably did not notice the shipping charges even on your previous orders (since I find it very hard to believe you did not pay for shipping), they cannot charge you for shipping later on. The funny thing is when they actually offer free shipping, you can pay extra for your order to be grouped (now that they have made grouped orders standard they should start offering the opposite)

£3 cheaper than my Arrow pre-order! Still, they did give me £8 worth of Reward Points on it.

Battles Without Honor and Humanity for $85, although it's currently out of stock. Isn't this US edition out of print now?

Surprised to see some Limited Editions in there (Yoshida and Rivette).

Well, releases through February appear to be included - including, most notably, Yoshida: Love + Anarchism and the Jacques Rivette Collection. Nikkatsu Diamond Guys is also available for 1/2 price.

As always the best deal is always big box-set pre-orders with double points, and the Allen set happens to be the one timed best for this sale (though it will probably come out around the time of the next one as well).

Bear in mind also that the sale will continue past the October announcements, and whatever box sets that may bring.

Wow, good catch. I am definitely holding off my final order until the October announcements.

It should be noted that the retail price for the Nikkatsu set is actually 30, and at 12.99, its actually less than half price.

Roughly in-line with the Amazon 2 for £25 price it's at, but you would get £2.50 back in points so it works out cheaper.

Slightly tempted by that, but not feeling very rich at the moment. I've ordered Closely Observed Trains and pre-ordered Matinee (using up about £11 of points I had saved up). Might go for Requiescant, Hard to Be a God (assuming it still has the booklet) or Black Sunday but will have a think on those.

Pains me to see Yoshida in there. A month or two ago I would've dropped £45 on it but right now I'm quite hesitant...

I should note that it is (I think) available from Amazon's 2 for 25, and I bought it along MoC's Man with a Movie Camera. Which makes it about the same 12.5 not including shipping

PayPal has the pound now at 1.38 so the Woody Allen set comes to $82.59, or, if you count the double points you will earn on it, effectively $66.

There's probably a lesson in here about not taking advantage of a country's economic crisis to personally benefit, but my main takeaway is fuck

Because you paid more than that just a few days ago, or because of all the ruined lives?

I don't like the implication that my life hasn't also been ruined by paying slightly more for this set a couple days ago

I'm going to buy a milkshake with the money I saved by waiting to buy this set, so in a sense, I am ruining my own life.

Not to mention the wasted man hours you'll be dinging the local economy on as a result of all the boys it will bring to your yard

Surely it doesn't impact Arrow either way? £60 is still £60 to them.

Anyway, I put orders in for Black Sunday and Black Sabbath, will order the Allen set (with £19 in rewards points taken off) and will probably be back for Nikkatsu Guys Vol. 1 as well (I really wasn't expecting this to be included so soon, I hope they're still factoring in these sales to gauge demand of future sets).
