[quote="neuro"]So, has anyone managed to figure out the bonus question from this month's Dazed and Confused soundtrack contest:

[quote]“Get high, everybody, get high.
Get high, everybody, get high.
Get high, everybody, get high.
Get high, everybody, get high.â€

Thanks so much, Steven! It seems to be a bit of a trick question as that particular track doesn't appear on the film's soundtrack listing.

But that certainly would have required me to have read the actual article. Perhaps my mental filter, which automatically deletes any syntax that includes the word "Foreigner" (capital "F" there), prevented me from noticing it.

i'm going to be pretty let down if it's this much hype over lame t shirts. if they really want to produce criterion inspired clothing i'd like reproductions of the red sharkskin suit from Youth of the Beast and maybe the torture mask Michael Palin wears in Brazil.

I would go with Tom Wait's shoes from Down By Law... man what I'd do for a pair of metal-tipped-point-toed shoes

How about the crown of thorns from The Last Temptation of Christ too? I'd wear that around all the time.

The shoes from The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou.

Sal's Pizzeria Uniforms from Do the Right Thing.

The trash bag Adam Ant is wrapped up in in Jubilee.

Ah, and let us not forget Joey Lauren Adams, who was worn on the faces of many in Chasing Amy... I'd buy her!

But seriously. I can see a white t-shirt with their new "C" logo on it. In fact, I bet that's why they changed their logo... It would be easier to put on things. The Criterion "line" just wouldn't work on anything.

I've seen a few people walking around with t-shirts that have the "Criterion Line" on the front across the chest. Looks really good IMO. In fact, I was a little bit envious. I probably wouldn't buy the shirts if they only had the new "C" logo.

i guess i should have specified the hype (or rumor) that the "new line" was eclipse, even though this is entirely fanboy speculation.

still, i think the reproductions of clothing/ props would be way more exciting than t shirts. i thought everyone did their own silk screening and iron ons now anyway?

I received one in the mail from the Haiku contest. They sent me a medium. I washed it once, and now it won't fit me.

Well, that's huge news. We know that The Double life of Veronique is comming, but how about The Decalogue? That would be amazing.

Nore than Double Life would make sense since they didn't come out and say the title (and they like doing multplie films at the same time, a la the Roegs, the Malles, etc.)

Is the old Decalogue still in print?

I believe so. And it came out in 2003, so it's not really old, as such.

But its not really that great of an edition, either...

Sure, but I think we're in deep, deep waters of very random speculation to think that a Criterion Decalogue is suggested in this newsletter. Would be pretty neat though, don't get me wrong....

I wonder if Koko was released just to have a new wacky animal for the newsletter.

It's probably just Double Life. The Decalogue discs are fine and Double Life really is the only Keislowski film not to be found on R1 DVD.

Too bad they wasted their news on the Keislowski, we already knew that was coming, thanks to Mulvaney 2.0.

It is news, and I appreciate them sharing it. They mentioned to one guy via email that they were working on Veronique. It's not exactly like they had issued a press release about it. We now have confirmation of the title, and a timeframe for release.

I don't see any reason to think that it is anything more than Veronique. If you look at the original thread on that subject, you will see that the poster who broke the news was asking them if Decalogue was coming, and they responded that they were actually working on Veronique. Facets still has the rights to Decalogue, and as it is probably one of their best (only?) selling titles, I expect that they'll hang on to it for a while.

Well yes, but I'm sure there are countless people who don't go to this forum for whom this is new information.
