I don't believe in hope, so yeah that isn't happening, especially as I can't see Arrow offering the supposed money losing fortune that Criterion offered WB for The Devils.

Looks like a UK release of
Silence of the Lambs. Hope they fix the various issues with the Kino UHD.

My guess it's a hint for
Bean John Malkovich in 4K.

Beans are a Lifeforce, and this many beans surely indicates a DC in 4K

I'd be really happy for a 4K of Manhunter actually but Studio Canal are probably going to do their own UK release whenever Michael Mann is finished tinkering with it again. If it's Lambs I have no doubts that Arrow will have addressed the wrong color space issues and the missing OG audio.

When Titans Ruled The Earth: Clash & Wrath Of The Titans UHD (real winners on that WB deal.)
The Woman / Offspring UHD

I'm assuming that they are releasing the Titans duo since the masters were already prepared by WB, but that begs the question of there being 4K masters already available for films that are of better quality than The Man from U.N.C.L.E or the Titans films. At least this means the quality of the films licensed from WB can only go up from here. Right?
Also surprising that Sony didn't bother doing a 4K restoration for El Mariachi.

So the beans were hinting at the wet fart of a release schedule.

I can think of only one meaning of the clue but it's a gross slur, so what can it be(an)?
Desperado rules, but I can't stand the others. Glad it's getting its own standalone

El Mariachi is good, but, even though I like the gag that it is supposed to be the fourth film in the series, Once Upon a Time in Mexico is pretty bad.
I'm still expecting a UK Silence of the Lambs announcement tomorrow.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Rodriguez did it himself. It is a pretty significant milestone in American cinema

and will likely be the only thing worth getting, unless they pull a serious rabbit out of the hat. I was hoping for more Paramount editions - been thinking about it lately and Arrow has really been on a tear with those. maybe they'll surprise us with something randomly cool for the UK like the Borowczyk they released a few months ago

I saw
Titans and thought it was the original film. But then I realized it was the remake and sequel. All of them are terrible films, but the original would have made more sense for Arrow's efforts. With this deal, I figured they'd be going for stuff like Mars Attacks or even The Box (im not a fan but that would make sense and complete their Richard Kelly line up), or some other interesting shit, but Jesus, it's just shit.

here I was thinking stuff like Altered States and subUrbia (neither of which are my thing, but I know would be big sellers) would be their WB launch titles. sorely mistaken on that one
compare this to the Paramount or MGM deals where clearly each title has been fairly in demand

I guess the question is what WB titles are left that they would be willing to license (not released on Blu by WAC or not The Devils) that 1) are exiting/interesting/good-great films; 2) that the current Arrow would be interested in; 3) that haven't already been picked up by Criterion or Shout ('though UK only releases of Shout titles are certainly possible and, frankly would make more sense than the WB titles that Arrow has announced so far)?

Oh yeah Altered States was very much believed to be released by Arrow so I'd be surprised if they didn't release a version very soon. As it is at the moment, it does look like Arrow deal is looking more like a scenario where they're saying to get low expectations and keep low expectations which I only hope they're doing to pull the rug from us and reveal a truly wonderful release.

Imagine getting access to WB’s vault and you don’t get any further than the dollar bin at Wal-Mart

I would rather coin this lineup as Gucci Thrifting, the deluxe version of thrifting.

Not bad. Thrifting at least offers some interesting oddities though, so I think it’s somehow too generous as of yet

I remember an Entertainment Weekly article where Richard Linklater really bashed WB for not allowing another label to release
Suburbia on DVD (this was well before the Archive disc came out), and the fact that they didn’t bother to keep any prints of it for repertory screenings. Some years later, Quentin Tarantino gifted him a print of it

If this is thrifting, the Titans movies are two pairs of green polyester slacks. Truly the worst, but they will sell well to a certain segment of the market, especially if they have slipcovers.

I was refreshing my memory on why the guesses of
Altered States and I assume
this is the reason, but they said one of these is coming and that was the
Child's Play movies.
