They have all six of the Comedies and Proverbs series, plus The Marquise of O... They also released Love in the Afternoon back in the day, but Artificial Eye released that film two years ago in their Six Moral Tales boxset.

A title that Arrow released on VHS but haven't so far done so on DVD or Blu-ray (though it was announced at least once) is The Lacemaker. I'd love to have that on disc, as it's the film that started me off on foreign-language cinema, when I saw it on BBC2 thirty-one years ago.

Redemption is a UK label, and the Rollin titles are their crown jewels - I can't see them licensing them to another British label.

And a UK edition of The Battle of Algiers has already been announced: I forget the label, but it isn't Arrow. (It's drastically inferior to the Criterion in terms of specs, but for those who have the Criterion DVD it might be a cheap alternative to importing the Criterion Blu-ray and simply getting more SD video copies of the same extras).

Ugh, sad to hear they've got into bed with Troma. Though the first ever UK release of Combat Shock is something to celebrate, I guess - wonder if Arrow will go all-out and release both cuts of the film, as in Troma's last release?

Not particularly sure that many people on this forum are going to be doing cartwheels but I'm sure they have their market somewhere. Let's hope the Academy line has some stuff in the next announcement.

I won't be doing cartwheels over it, but I'm a fan of Lady Snowblood and will certainly be picking up the Steelbook which I assume should blow the Madman release out the water in regard to extras.

EDIT: Amazon are listing both the Steelbook and the Dual-Format as including both Lady Snowblood: Blizzard in the Netherworld and Lady Snowblood: Love Song of Vengeance. I hope this is correct and part of the TBA extras. Pricey though.

I like the sequel well enough even though it is a serious step down from the first film.

Just a heads up, Arrow's Miracle in Milan blu-ray is going for £6.97 on Amazon uk. Seems very cheap for such a recent release..I want it mainly to see Il Tetto, which is included as extra.

I hear it didn't do especially well, which is a shame as it's a great package - Il Tetto in particular doesn't deserve its obscurity, and the booklet is up to Arrow Academy's usual excellent standard.

I hope the poor sales don't foreshadow the future of the series. I have seen some people on the net say that the only reason they bought the Academy titles was because of the packaging (which first changed with Miracle in Milan) :-s

Lots of stuff seems discounted presently... Right now Pasolini's Decameron, Arabian Nights & Canterbury Tales dual format packages from the BFI are all just £8.97 list price on Amazon!...

It's hardly been out though. They slashed the price pretty quick and there's been regular sales on the Arrow site.

House By The Cemetary review on Blu-ray.com, this is for the dual format version, not the limited edition, which is only different by packaging.

Arrow said the limited edition packaging will now be delayed until June....
