We still have the obvious red
Red and black
Black in the titles, but that picture makes me a little more satisfied with the design. Let's see some booklets/discs

Still think THE RED SHOES looks like a still from a James Bond opening credits sequence. But it does look better there than I was expecting.

I just picked up the internet the other day. Sorry if this has already been discussed elsewhere (I looked and couldn't find it mentioned), but on WikiAnswers it says Mickey Mouse only has three fingers. The jpg above (briefly) shown on the forum has four.

I kind of regret the first cover of the first Criterion edition of The Red Shoes (the ITV Blu-Ray has a nice vintage original artwork)
I think that they could have used that one for Black Narcissus :
http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film3/blu-ray_ ... e_look.jpg
please copy and paste the url to see the screen, I didn't want to spoil dvdbeaver bandwidth and slow down this forum...
this is a pre-Argento highlight of the movie...
Each time I see the Red Shoes new Criterion artwork, I remember this Black Narcissus scene.
But if they had done this for both movies, this would have been a kind of "horror"/"scream" theme combo.
I'm curious what they would have done for the new Red Shoes if they had choose to goes in the "scream" direction for Black Narcissus...

I just want to make a guess, but what will the Antichrist artwork look like? Will it be the film's poster or original artwork related to the film?

Stopped by B&N today and picked up a copy of The Man Who Fell to Earth on blu (and Revanche and The Leopard for about $67 after discounts, coupons, and B2G1 sale

) but it's still in its cardboard case. Anyone think they'll still have plastic cases over at Criterion or should I not even bother e-mailing?

They should still have the cases. As far as I heard, they had and provided replacement cases for
The Third Man well after it went OOP.

They still have cases. Or at least, they did for me a couple of weeks ago, and were CRAZY courteous and quick about shipping them out quickly and securely. I ordered 5 or 6 replacement cases and they all came together within two days, no backorder weirdness. You should be fine.

Orded a set of 4 a month ago, and they (The Last Emperor, The Man Who Fell To Earth, The Last Metro, and The 400 Blows) arrived aobut 16 days later. I'm in Australia so i was preparing to have to wait 2-3 months, so it was a very nice surprise when they arrived a lot earlier.

Agreed. So much better inside than outside.

Seeing the Red Shoes interior actually makes me like the exterior shot - minus that awful text.
Now where is that Thin Red Line cover?

Yeah, this is getting ridiculous. We're probably going to get the next months cover art before we see anything final.

One minor note about the Leopard:
The top shelf of my rack where I keep my CC BDs is the tightest height-wise. My Che and Yojimbo/Sanjuro Digi's fit very snug, but they fit without causing any damage. The Leopard is a millimeter too tall and is the tallest CC BD to be released that I have come across. It won't fit on the shelf of my rack standing up. So, whereas those two box sets fit perfectly fine, the Leopard digi won't. Of course, it is hardly the end of the world.

Varying heights are good. Books, movies, whatever.
