DVD Pacific shipped my Bergman box last week (9th) and Naked City too, which is about the earliest I've been sent anything (but it's got a long way to travel).

I am at the risk of speaking too soon, but I believe DVDPlanet is about to ship Brute Force, La Haine, and Overlord to me (my card is being charged for a little under $78, and I have no other expenses).

You're not speaking too soon. I've just received an e-mail from them stating all three shipped today.

Indeed, I was not speaking too soon. I wonder what Criterion thinks of breaking the street date by three weeks.

Godspeed, DVDPlanet.

I'm not sure DVD Planet is doing anything wrong here, though I'm not up on all the rules and regulations. I had pre-ordered The Naked City and, like others, had my copy ship out early, on March 8th. It was due out on the 20th, but I didn't receive it until the 24th so I still missed the street date by a few days. I think DVD Planet is taking into consideration how long their packages can be in transit and compensating.

Thanks for speaking up, as because of this I just pre-ordered the three April releases along with Eclipse Series 2 from DVD Planet, instead of the usual waiting a week before street-date. Hopefully they ship soon!

Godspeed, DVDPlanet.
I just received my shipping notice from DVDPlanet for Brute Force, Overlord, and La Haine. Should arrive on Monday. I need to pre-order this early more often, who knows, maybe I'll get an e-mail notice next week saying Eclipse Series 2 is shipping! :D

Anybody receive any shipping notices yet for Army of Shadows, Sansho the Bailiff, Vengeance is Mine, The Third Man yet? Just curious if DVDPlanet broke street date way in advance like they did for April's titles.

I was wondering the same thing (I've only ordered Army of Shadows this month). Last time they broke the street date by three weeks when they shipped it, and tomorrow is three weeks before the release, ergo I hope it ships tomorrow or Wed.

Although I haven`t ordered it at dvdplanet but at dvdpacific (they shipped it way early last time as well, just like dvdplanet), I haven`t received my shipping notice yet.

just received my disc from Caimen through amazon.com, so anyone looking for it might want to try there

interesting that there's a whacky C "Special edition" sticker on it.

I ordered mine from Caiman via Amazon.co.uk over a fortnight ago, and e-mailed last night to check whether they did still have it in stock. They informed me that it was on order and should be dispatched within two to three weeks. I'm wondering whether to stick it out (cheaper than CD-WOW) or go elsewhere and order a copy as soon as possible...

If you want it, I'd order it from places you can cancel from once one of them ships. Amazon (US) seems to be out of stock for a week or so to go...

DVD Empire has some... (and will ship promptly, and let you know it). Dunno how reliable their cheapo int'l shipping is... you probably don't want to pay more hefty UPS priority, but with the dollar to pound ratio, may not end up being terribly pricey. My guess ($30 for dvd, $23 for priority ($5.50 not so priority)) about 26 pounds for quick (or 18 pounds for not so quick and a bit more risky)...

I bought mine the day it was announced in the newsletter as going OOP. I ordered mine from DVDPlanet and received it three days later. The following day though they announced they were sold out, so I'm glad I ordered when I did.

I'm still waiting on my shipping notice, and am moving on the 15th. Part of the reason I ordered it early is so that it would arrive before I move. Oh well...
