Without pausing for further reflection (i.e. grain of salt, boys...) I do believe Sweet Movie might be my favorite Criterion cover. Period.
Great month (in both selection and covers) all around, but, my lord, look at Sweet Movie!

WR is a pretty amazing cover too. Man, 4 DVDs I'm really excited about this month, and the design on all them looks great.

this is the first time since November that all the new titles are must-buys for me

This is going to be the first month where I will be pre-ordering all of the films. Remember this time last year when everyone was pissed that Criterion was releasing 2 films a month?

June is going to kill me, financially. All five of these Criterions are must-buys for me, plus the Ozu box on Eclipse! What a month!

Yeesh, you'll never hear me complaining about that. Keep 'em coming, especially if they're all gonna be such great and anticipated titles.

I'm assuming the "Director Approved" sticker on the Marker set will just have a pawprint.

Add my voice to the echoes of appreciation. Great films and artwork. And so many titty shots -- kudos to the boys and girls at Criterion.

Sweet Movie cover is notable for having done something interesting with the wacky C. And, um, is that a guy or a girl...

Sweet Movie cover will have to change, if only because the date on the cover is 1955!

Eh, Just If.... and the Late Ozu box for me that month.

I'm baffled by anyone not getting those Marker films

The Markers are my only definite purchase, with If... being a very distinct possibility. The others look great (though in the WR/SM cases mostly just for the artwork: brilliant!), but I have a hard time justifying that kind of money for such limited content. Couldn't be more thankful for Netflix...

Love all of the artwork. Only, little, thing is that the Criterion C-logo on the WR cover should`ve been transparent. That would`ve been nicer in my book. Nonetheless, I`ll be getting them.

Nice elegant packaging on the Early Bergman set. Minimalism is the order of the day. Thinpacks for the discs, with liner notes on the inside (reverse of front cover). No disc art, just the eclipse E in the set's colour palette (most of Criterion's recent discs would have been better off with this approach). The outer casing is the potentially annoying open-top-and-bottom affair they've previously used for collector's sets, with the attendant risk that the discs go everywhere when you pick up the 'box'. So I advise you to leave the shrinkwrap on and cut open the top to access the discs.

I've started doing that for all book-case type boxsets. And thanks for the update on the first Eclipse set, Zedz.

He means that it is a slip cover similar to the outer slip cover of the CC Rules of the Game or the Region 1 Twin Peaks: Season 1 (except it is paper and not plastic); it slips over the five thinpaks but it does not have a paper top or bottom. I'm sorry if this didn't clear it up for you.
cheers

Think Great Adaptations or Hitchcock: Wrong Men and Notorious Women or Rebel Samurai (that one is too, right?)
