I haven't gotten my hands on the DVD so haven't been able to supply photos. All I know is it's a 2-disc set and will probably resemble the Blu-ray's artwork.

WOW, I love the cover for The Magician! And I'm super-glad they kept the poster art for the House cover.

That Magician art has totally upstaged even Hausu. WOW. Gorgeous.

I haven't seen The Magician and can't evaluate how it ties with the film itself, but with that said, that's a very striking cover on its own terms. I like how the title very subtly appears to be projected on the curtains.

Getting pretty sick of seeing 'box art coming soon'. Like waking up on Christmas to find a note under the tree. The Magician cover is excellent though.

I think the cover of the Magician is very suitable for the film.
And it means another Bergman Blu with close up of Max von Sydow cover!

Nice, but The Magician font is a little M:TG for me.

Thank you! I'm just curious too see if it's a digipak or not. If it's not, i'll get the blu-ray instead.
About the October releases, i'm very curious too see what Criterion created for Darjeeling Limited! Love Wes Anderson's movies and what Criterion makes with them!

The Magician one looks like a goth bands live DVD cover. Or a crappy Blair Witch sequel.

The Housu cover is good but the artwork CC posted on their FB page a few weeks was much better.

Great cover for the Magician, though it's not a super-serious dour film like the cover suggests. Quite an underrated Bergman, nice to see it here!

I'm pretty sure that Ansiktet means The Face, rather than The Magician, so it's kind of nice that the cover references that. And it beautifully captures the mixture of horror and playfulness that characterises the film.

Two for two so far this month--both The Magician and House have fantastic covers!!

I remember it was called The Face in the UK and titled as such by the BBC when they last showed it in the mid-90s, even if the Tartan DVD released it under the US preferred title of The Magician. But I don't mind however it is titled - I can't wait for the Blu-Ray!

The House covers just went from red to orange. The new images have different URLs, too.

Does anyone have the old images in their cache? Maybe we can preserve them for posterity.

Looks like the one on the left was just temp art accidentally posted as the final image. The year on the spine says 1956.

Just noticed that the H in House is interfering with the CC bar on the left. I've disliked Criterion's new branding for however long it's been around because it disrupts the integrity of the cover image to a greater degree than the previous logo. But this is nice.

So let me guess the Darjeeling cover...
Eric Anderson drawing of course. Setting: outside desert, mid-day. Foreground: the three brothers doing the wacky poses from the feather ritual. Middle distance: the train rolling down the tracks, supporting characters poking their heads out of the windows, luggage falling off the back. Background: cliff with the monastery on top. The Wacky C would be the sun.

I have been so eagerly anticipating photos from the Zwigoffs, and this is just cruel on the part of Criterion at this point. Send them to Chris nowwwww!
