Hopefully Harmon and crew make the most of what they have left-- the writing's on the wall, folks

This seems to be another Arrested Development-like kiss-off where the network unloads all the remaining episodes in some god-forsaken timeslot (probably Friday night) and that's the end of it. I hope it pulls through but I'm not holding my breath.

Guess I'll be watching half as much NBC come January.

NBC is assuring press that all 22 episodes will be shot/aired this season
After which they'd be out of their minds not bringing it back one more year for syndication. Sony will downright not let them cancel this show if 22 episodes air this season. Mark my words. They used to pull this shit with
Scrubs for a few years in a row, but all the episodes would get made/aired with syndication as the ultimate goal. If that show made it eight seasons (with that 9th spinoff season), I'm sure Sony can convince NBC to keep
Community around for a 4th and final year.

Roxanne came on this morning when I was driving to work and I had to laugh. This show is good enough to ruin a song so it should be good enough for six seasons and a movie.

I think, if we were to get anything more, four seasons would be perfect, tie it up nice with the whole college feel.

Between syndication and DVD sales- which is a place Community has done fairly well, I believe- Sony must have a significant interest in keeping the show on the air as long as possible. It's not like NBC has anything more valuable to fill the time with.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more discussion about this week's awful, awful news. This is just like when they cancelled The Cape.

I'm sorry, but what news?

That it's been pulled from the midseason lineup? I think all six of us who watch the show have registered our disappointment.

This proves beyond a reasonable doubt that more dean is always a good thing. Also could those two's chemistry be any more adorable? though I think third act aside I agree with Dom.

Show went up a 10th of a point to 1.6, which is a start. What's really funny is that Whitney, even benefiting from NBC's highest rated show as a lead-in, only managed a 1.9. Let's see what you get all by yourself on Wednesdays, girl!

I know what the boyfriend of her character on the show will be getting: a lapdance! Or possibly not a lapdance. Either way, I feel sorry for him.

Maybe I'm a conspiracy theorist, but NBC is probably moving Whitney to Wednesday in order to kill it. Then they'll replace it with Community and kill that show, too. Then they can say, "but we gave those shows every chance we could," even though everyone knows the best way to kill a show is to move it to a new night or time where it has no good lead-in or other support or to take it off the air for several weeks.

Reading about Sony essentially paying off FOX to keep Til Death on the air for 4 seasons has me feeling a lot more confident about the fate of this show.
