Box sets have been included historically, but as with everything only releases only more than six months. The Hammer sets not being included in a potential sale severely cuts back my planned spending as I was expecting I'd have enough to hit the insane £200 free shipping threshold (which would save me £30 in shipping or something), and losing at least the two later boxes puts me nowhere close. Hopefully the sale still includes everything else released through March or April, though.
Not to be too obsessive about it (just enough of it  ), but my order included titles from February and April 2019, covered by the same discount code along with the other newer ones. So this was not a bundle just for new or forthcoming titles.

Indicator have had various sales with varying conditions and parameters, so it is easy to confuse them or to have missed one, as I have.

We can only wait to see if there is indeed another sale to close the year in 2020, and what it will cover and how.

Indicator hinting on Twitter that the sale could start at noon UK time.

According to the timer on the website, the sale is going to last 7 days.

Rejoice, Swo17 - Dietrich/Sternberg is in the sale. Went for Ford at Columbia, myself.

What's the usual "newness" threshold for their sales? I remember Birdy wasn't part of the last sale... now it is, but no Spring Night, Summer Night.

Pretty sure the threshold is 6 months. I pre-ordered Spring Night... and I think I received it in June.

I know it's so much prettier and the extras run laps around the Criterion but I just can't be moved to re-buy the Dietrich set.

I was happy to see the "John Ford at Columbia" set up for sale, but I guess shipping to the U.S. has gone way up since the last time I ordered because at £16.37 (I only wanted that single item) it wound up raising the final total above retail price.

Is soundchaser's groupbuy still open? (Not for me--I ordered enough on my own)

I sent him a message but haven't yet heard back.

I've also PMed soundchaser this morning, but if he's already placed his order, I'd be up for trying to get up a second one.

I would also be up for that.

My shipping was 20, but the cool thing is that it was only an additional pound to get FedEx prioritiy, which was nice.

Still waiting on one member to get back about the groupbuy, so if anyone else wants to join you’ve got a little bit of time!

EDIT: Now closed.

Same. Placed an order when I hit the free shipping threshold, but I've had two folks message me since then, so there are more of you out there.

I was one of those, so if there are indeed others, feel free to PM me and we can see if we can all get up to the £200 threshold.

I got They Made Me A Fugitive and Time Without Pity. Even with shipping to WA, it still worked out cheaper than ordering from Bezos directly and the third party sellers would only have reduced it by a negligible margin, plus I want to support Indicator.

Spring Night Summer Night was the title in question. I always thought this came out in March or April.

Decided to take They Made Me a Fugitive and The St. Valentine's Day Massacre. The former came out from Kino which had an error that is corrected in Indicator’s edition and the latter has far superior picture quality compared to Twilight Time. Or...?

I finally figured out where my pH discount points were hiding after I placed my order... (and got some new points also.)

I blame it on my next door neighbor who has a knack for waking me up way too early in the morning with noisy machinery of one sort or another for yet another of their home "improvement" projects. Seems like they get bored with the last one and on to the next one they go.

I’m curious if anyone stateside has found a better outlet for ordering new releases other than direct from Indicator lately? Amazon UK and DeepDiscount either don’t carry many titles or the shipping rates are outrageous. I don’t mind ordering direct if it’s the best option, but man, it’s getting expensive to import during this pandemic.

I don't know if the shipping is the same for the U.S. as for Canada, but I've been using Zavvi for my last few Indicators. Shipping to Canada is a flat rate of £3.99 so I usually order 3-4 items at a time, and the code "freeac" cuts that in half.

A warning that if you’re in the US, Zavvi might charge you sales tax. I’ve stopped ordering from them because they’re somehow more expensive than everyone else now.

Rarewaves is a pretty good option, releases are maybe $23-24 and there are discount coupons available. Shipping is slow (and not free, but relatively reasonable at only a few dollars) but if you’re just getting individual releases in scanovos I can’t imagine the risk of damage is very high.

Thanks everyone- Even though the exchange rate seems to be higher via these websites direct, or with PayPal, passing the £200 threshold during a non-sale still comes out to less than 20 USD per release, and less for box sets, so direct may still be best if I wanna go all out. Otherwise, I'll definitely look at those other options (I've never ordered from Rarewaves direct, but have plenty via eBay or Amazon, and despite their infamous packaging issues, all my orders have arrived in pristine condition). Still hoping Amazon U.K. restores itself to its throne of overseas bargains soon.

Couple of questions:

1- What does the recent lockdown mean in terms of buying and shipping items? Will it affect orders in any way? Should I be concerned?
2- What has been your experience with FEDEX international priority? Is is indeed faster? I'm asking because last time I went with Tracked row parcel and it took three months to get here.
