I actually shouted at this news. This is my favorite documentary ever made and it'll be a joy to replace my oft-watched Facets disc with what is sure to be a beautiful transfer. I love you Second Run.

Yeah, hopefully more of an offer than the current one (£15 per title; same price as getting it from anywhere else such as HMV/Fopp, Amazon, TheEntertainmentStore etc).

The biggest non-sale of the year. In fact they are cheaper in Fopp and HMV where some are included in 2 for £25 offers.

Jonathan Keogh of Criterion tweeted, I assume, about Second Run? Does anyone have any news?

It would be nice to get a sale on Second Run Blu-rays, either via the Arrow website or in store at Fopp. I can’t be the only one with an ever growing wishlist of Second Run titles, yet I’m always been enticed by all the labels to pick up their releases first.

With apologies to those who tried to order Second Run titles yesterday - stock issues have now been resolved and Second Run titles are again available to buy.

I just placed a second order myself for Second Run titles alone. They were all virtual blind buys since I've never seen any of them before, but Vampir Cuadecuc, Intimate Lightning, Invention for Destruction, The Fabulous Baron Munchausen and A Case for a Rookie Hangman were all 10 quid apiece. (The last one is down to limited availability, but the others are still in the 'green.') Pretty glad for this sale, I'm a big fan of Cutter's Way and Terry Gilliam's own adaptation of Munchausen (not to mention his animated work), so I'm sure I'll enjoy these quite a bit.

Second Run launches a new and distinctive VOD service from June 1st.

A bad list. I suppose they did not secure a copy of Second Sight's Dawn of The Dead, which is an all time great home video release. What is the point of putting Arrow's The Game on here? I suppose the author likes The Game but any of Arrow's UHDs would have been better picks. No Columbia Noir, Varda, or Scorsese WCP #3.

I agree that the list is awful, but those two Second Run titles are definitely top 5 for me too.

It seems to be a UK-only list (or at least titles available in the UK as well as the US), so your last two suggestions presumably wouldn't be eligible. And I suspect modesty forbade the inclusion of Columbia Noir #1 since the editor of Little White Lies is one of the contributors (commentary on 5 Against the House).

He did the commentary on 'Boiling Point' in the Kitano collection too.

Still a couple of days left to grab a bargain in the Arrow Easter Carnage Sale - ends April 13.

Second Run On Demand are hosting the Undiscovered Masters strand of the Kinoteka Polish Film Festival, offering On the Silver Globe, Walkover, The Temptation, A Lonely Woman, and Man on the Tracks as £4.99 rentals.

Sadly, this does not herald the imminent arrival of Blu-rays.

(Absolutely not Second Run's choice, but there's nothing they can do about it right now.)

Marc Isaacs' latest The Filmmaker's House (featured at Hot Docs) starts with a Second Run logo. Maybe a future release?
