Folks who would like to see this film and who have a Netflix account can probably still order it.

Give it a look.

Received mine in the mail today. The amray case was slightly unusual (for Criterion), but everything else seems to be in order.

Appears that Walmart still has a few in-stock, so anyone who's been holding out shouldn't have any concerns that they're advertising something they don't have.

Perhaps somebody can help me out with this question: deepdiscount.com has a sale through 6/14 (coupon code: DVDTALK). Supposing I preorder Ace in the Hole today (although the disc releases in July, of course), do I still get the 20% off?

No. The sale does not apply to pre-orders.

Same here plus The two of us!!!
Both of these shipped today for me. Can't wait for the Ozu box, I plan to watch all the films in one day since I've been waiting forever for more Ozu releases from Criterion.

And mine arrived today in perfect condition, with the 48-page booklet. Thanks again for this hint. It looks like it is out-of-stock in Walmart
now.

Tokyo Olympiad is the latest Criterion to go OOP.

on a side note, amazon shipped my Ozu box on the 6th, and gave me a 3.50 refund as they dropped the price a bit before the street date. not as good a deal as the 20% off, but I can't complain.

I just received 8 1/2 and Ugetsu, from Axelmusic. I'm in heaven, both editions are fantastic...

That`s strange. I ordered it around the 13th as well and mine was despatched on friday.

That is even more strange. I wrote an email to Cd-wow and they finally sent it today. What a bad service...

I ordered mine on the 7th, it was despatched on the 15th, but I have yet to receive it. Things seem to be working, but very slowly. Fewer staff perhaps? I'll post when the package arrives.

CD-Wow suffered a fire in one on their warehouses a couple of weeks ago.

Mine [La Jetée and Sans soleil] just showed up, I haven't put it in the player yet because I'm becoming absorbed in the gorgeous 50-page booklet.

Well I just ordered Tokyo Olympiad off of Amazon.com... Good thing I happened to read a couple of threads back... I may have been TOO late. Could someone start a sticky-thread that one could only post in when a criterion is announced to be going out of print? Much appreciated for future reference.

Wow, prices on Amazon have really shot up for Tokyo Olympiad. The distributor we order our Criterions from at the video store (Waxworks) still has quite a few in stock.

DVDPlanet still hasn't sent me a shipping notice for the Markers. Is anyone else still waiting for DVDPlanet? For those of you who have the disc, did anyone get it from them?
It just seems odd, as they're usually good about allowing some time before the street date, and I ordered the thing back in April...

Nothing yet. They're still a bit behind from their 20% off sale probably.

The temp charge from DVDPlanet for the Marker disc showed up last night. I have not received a shipping notice yet.
