But isn't the article specifically about post screening ovations?
@mfunk it is good thing she hasn't seen an Elia Suleiman/Tsai-Ming Liang film

Here’s just a few minutes of the standing ovation and it’s unwatchable. Hard to blame anyone involved for not continuing on much longer

Everyone in the crowd thinking "This was no Clerks 2, so we have to cut it short pretty soon"

Tarantino might make the film even longer.
Shades of Peter Jackson and King Kong there. Not good.

That interview reveals Scoot McNairy won’t be in the film unless Tarantino ends up putting his only scene back in (Malick gets more flack for this kind of thing, but Tarantino’s done it before with Cloris Leachman in Inglourious Basterds, Michael Jai-White in Kill Bill, and others I’m sure )

I think some Cannes viewers were saying there was no sign of James Marden either, despite reports of his having joined the film

Dick Miller in Pulp Fiction (i think the deleted scene may be on the dvd?) and Maggie Cheung in Basterds to which she openly commented wasn't a big deal to her at all.

Wikipedia (which also has what appears to be a detailed plot summary) says Michael Madsen and Tim Roth have also been cut.

Can any of you explain why the US and UK have in my opinion substantially different release dates?
July 26, 2019 (United States)
August 14, 2019 (United Kingdom)
Before the internet, I could understand, but doesn't this encourage piracy online in the UK and lose the studios a lot of money?

Would it be just be something logistical to do with getting the director and stars across to do press interviews and media appearances?

It's a window likely to be short enough not to cause an issue. The issue, except for a leak of a good enough quality, is much bigger when the gap is so big a video release happens in between. Such cases, however, are rather related to independant movies with different distributors over the world.

19 days seems like an eternity to me, especially up against Tarantino’s cult status, but thanks for the answers

Oh I agree with you, especially since Sony seems to have 99% of the worldwide theatrical rights. It's not as if The Matrix Reloaded had a worldwide simultaneous release 15 years ago. But it's only a real issue if people have a correct illegal source to download and in many many cases, it seems like video releases (including iTunes and such) are the real cutoff thresholds (though I might be wrong, of course, but it's what I seem to see with my friends who sadly don't buy much but illegally download a lot).

Had no idea that Emile Hirsch had such a big role that he has fourth billing, and conversely, that Luke Perry's is so small he didn't make the poster at all

Kurt Russell too. He's on the poster, but not in the credits.

Ah, I didn't even notice even though Perry and Russell are credited by name in the official trailer.
On a sidenote Bob Richardson mentioned in an article a little while back that Fanning's performance while filming was one of his favorites. Can't wait to see her and Butler.

Now THAT's a frigging poster!!! Any idea who the artist is? It's very Struzan-esque, which leads me to suspect Scream Factory regular Paul Shipper.

In this
link of the enlargement of the poster I can't figure out the word (possibly name of the artist?) in the reflection of Robbie's sunglasses and there are some people in the reflection as well.

IMP Awards has it credited to Steven Chorney.

This is ridiculous minutiae but is the "..." part of the official title, or just in the posters?
