Couldn't agree more. Amazing tagline at the end, too.
Nice to see a ceremony where they’re not taking snarky takes on what they’re celebrating.
Jimmy Kimmel to Conan O’Brien is a pretty huge leap in taste level, turns out.

Gonna give that Stiller bit a B-

Not giving Dune the Production Design Oscar, what are we even doing here.

Not this year.

Alright, one of the worst winners of that Oscar or any Oscar in modern history! The honorees ought to have thanked Brady Corbet in their speech

Speaking of worst winners… here’s best song!

I always want this category to include more genuine in-film musical numbers, but I'm not sure this is the way to go.

tbf most "best song" winners are pretty terrible. Even when it's a great recording artist, it can be a terrible song. (Remember Stevie Wonder?)

Mick Jagger showing up and immediately getting the standing ovation was better than any of those winners just now

I thought this song was quite good and probably as deserving a winner as possible.

I'm fine with it, although I'd have voted for the other song from the movie.

It seems like there's a lot of love for this movie in the room that The Tweets only partially subdued.

a Bill Morrison / No Other Land back to back win would save this entire night

Lol at Diane Warren not even getting the sympathy vote after her house burned down

Was it even the best song in the movie?

I thought "El Mal" was the best song (and the best-performed song) in Emilia Perez, but that's damning with faint praise. Also probably the best nominee.

Bob Dylan of all people DID win for a brilliant song (“Things Have Changed” from Wonder Boys)

I can’t take a category seriously that didn’t recognize Jim Steinman for “Tonight is What it Means to be Young” or Dan Hartman’s “I Can Dream About You.”

Yes, I love Streets of Fire

Palestine got mentioned on the Oscar stage and we had an Israeli calling out the US government from the stage. that's literally as great as it gets

Diane Warren should have an Oscar, but she should have it for "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" from Armageddon, a legitimately great power ballad. I dare you to hum from memory the song that won against it: "When You Believe" from The Prince of Egypt.

Fire lady has some comic chops.

I'm dying at that "kilometers/kilometery" joke, I don't care.
