When exactly did Ron Perlman transition from picking quirky directors & interesting movies to STV hell?

He's always done both. In 1993, for example, he did Cronos and a DTV serial killer thriller with Martin Sheen and Ally Walker. Has everyone forgotten that this is how he got his start? By the way, if you search on the words "Vincent Beauty Beast" in Google Images, you will discover a treasure trove of fan art that borders on the disturbingly pornographic.

For me, this one just can't be beat. It's not a joke, its even a re-release. That head!

Pyschological, no less. Why didn't Criterion license this artwork, I wonder?

Ah, Cinema Sirens series. We've had the Two Women cover earlier in this thread:

This is wacky:

And more bathing beauty cheesecake:

And the box set:

Cinema Sirens - Silver Screen Set (The Snows of Kilimanjaro/The Fat Spy/Two Women/The Last Time I Saw Paris) (1961)

That La Ciociara cover really captures the spirit of the film. :?

(Although it seems somehow right with the misleading/breezy "Two Women" title translation.)

What boggles the mind is that this company obviously feels that they're making these actresses even MORE attractive.
