That might account for why Kyle MacLachlan's SNL skit parodying Twin Peaks in the run up to the Season 2 premier never showed up on home video either.

So, looks like Criterion still has a relationship with Paramount, or is this left over from a previous arrangement? If so, maybe Paper Moon, Hud, and Catch 22 are still on the horizon?
I can't find the post but I believe Kino recently confirmed that they are putting out
Hud.
Ugh, that would be depressing news, but I can’t find any mention of it either. Have they yet put out a 4K UHD that doesn’t have some problem or another?

It’s been a while. In my estimation, their last very good UHD was Ronin last year. When they still used their first authoring house, they often delivered superb UHDs, such as the Billy Wilder titles and In the Heat of the Night. The list doesn’t go much further though and things aren’t likely to change much to the better any time soon.

I’ve heard that their new High Noon release looks pretty good so maybe there’s still some hope for them.

I saw an unconfirmed mention somewhere that Kino had Hud, but this was back when Kino started releasing Paramount titles. I hope not. I would prefer Arrow over Kino for this title.

Stills for The Long Good Friday have been updated, which means a 4K upgrade should be announced today.

Since the stills for The Long Good Friday and Repo Man were updated this morning, it's very likely they announce the titles today. Though they could always delay it to Monday due to unforeseen circumstances, like the July announcements 2 years ago.
Meanwhile users on Reddit and the other forum are convinced that an upgrade of Life of Brian is coming because "new" stills have been uploaded, even though that's not even close to being true since those stills have been there for at least 5 years now and are clearly from a old DVD master.

On top of Repo Man and the Long Good Friday 4ks, I'm guessing (praying for?) a 4K +BD of Mitchell Leisen's Midnight, a BD of Terrence Davies's Benediction and a BD of The Small Back Room by P&P.

Anyone remember that one month ~15 years ago when we got new titles announced on a Saturday? Won’t ever happen again, I just want you all to have just enough hope to think it will
