I'm not too crazy about it, either. Kinda...
meh. I wonder if they didn't start with the original MGM promo art by Kapralik -- same basic design idea. Maybe they should have just gone with the original, as they did with their "Woman of the Year" cover.

The fellow on the left looks a lot more like Robert Taylor or Robert Montgomery than Cary Grant.
The mouth and jaw are Grant's, the eyes definitely not.

It's as bad or worse than
Woman of the Year, to be sure.

I like the pic on the leaflet/booklet. I can't make out what the inside is suppose to be with the writing.

Yeah, the reflection was hard to mange but is writing. It's Rebecca's note:
I'll spend the night there and leave the door open for you. I've got something very important to tell you.

Is it a foldout or a brochure?

I thought bound booklets didn’t fit in the plastic cases, only stapled brochures.… Still better than a foldout.
Another thing is that (and correct me if I am wrong) it seems like they could not get the rights to Notorious and Spellbound at the same time, otherwise they would have probably re-released the box set. If and when they release all three, the films might get the same treatment as the other four Hitchcock films.

My understanding is that the Hitchcocks and Straw Dogs are part of a package so they do have them. They're probably just spreading them out.

Are Eclipse sets slowly going OOP? The Late Ozu set is listing at nearly 200$ on Amazon.

That's bizarre. The Amazon Prime listing says ships in 1-3 weeks, and then the cheapest third party new copy is going for around $400. Probably just low stock and the third party is using an algorithm that ridiculously inflates the price. It's still in stock on the Criterion site and for only $55.

Anyone else notice that the cover for The Philadelphia Story on the website was grayscaled so that the bluer parts of the cover are now grayish black?

Huh, certainly puts it right in line with His Girl Friday. Would not be surprised at all if this hand-drawn monochrome style appears on the Awful Truth & Bringing Up Baby too.
