Also, If they're including a 2K scan of it wouldn't they have to redo the edit since it was done on video? Seems like a lot of work, too much, for the film. I have a soft spot for it but let's be honest: it's not very good.
Kino hasn't commented on it, but it seems the television cut was done by Columbia, so Sony had the rights to it. So idea if Sony still has those, or if they have gone over to MGM.

Kino Insider finally commented on Needful Things
It's not with Sony, it's with another studio. Our deal is with MGM and we've asked the other studio for access to the TV cut negative.
No word on if he other studio was WB.

I'm not sure whether to praise or criticize you for not going for the obvious joke on this one.

One of the few movies I've ever walked out on. Truly awful.

Finally a good deal on C.H.O.M.P.S.!

I gotta recommend Lucio Fulci's Conquest for $5.99. It's completely batshit and swings for the fences in a way few 80s fantasy-exploitation titles tend to in my experience. This is far from a lumbering Deathstalker film. Also seconding The Landlord.

I've seen like five Fulcis and only liked Massacre Time. What are the chances I'd like Conquest?

This Letterboxd review from Will Sloan boils it down pretty succinctly:
Lucio Fulci does the Conan the Barbarian/Clash of the Titans thing, but the dreamy tone and bizarre imagery are like a mix of The Beyond and The Boxer's Omen. Powerfully strange and incomprehensible even by his standards.
If that sounds enticing I'd say take a chance despite your Fulci track record.

Almost all of the KL and Cohen Godard releases are significantly discounted too. I’ll throw my hat behind The Tomb of Ligeia and Terror Train for on-sale horror titles

every single sale, Alphaville has been $9.99, which I remember because its always on the first page. I've passed on it every single time, but after this last revisit I enjoyed it more than expected and figured I would pick it up. of course, it's not on sale this time!

I splurged on all three volumes of the Pialat Blu-rays. $18 each but the list price for each volume was $50 (!), even if the volume covered just one film. They don't seem to be in stock in a lot of places either (sometimes only on DVD format), so it seemed like a good time to buy.

Good call, vol 2 (Under the Sun of Satan) is almost always hiked up high, and it's a masterpiece, so enjoy! I'm unfamiliar with the films in vol 1 or the film on 3 - recommended?

Blind buys! Vol. 3/Van Gogh is generally well-liked but Kent Jones is a big fan: "Of his 11 features, three—We Won’t Grow Old Together, À nos amours, and Van Gogh—are among the finest films made in France or any other country in the last half century, and the rest aren’t far behind."

I got Vol. 1 mostly for The Mouth Agape, but I'm unfamiliar with the other two. (I wonder why only Vol. 1 has more than a single film?)

FWIW, I also got Breaking In, the Eternal Sunshine... UHD, Lord Love a Duck (after missing the 35mm screening at Lincoln Center, much to my regret), and also My 20th Century which is reportedly taken from the 4K restoration and looks superior to Second Run's release (which was released when the older 2K master was all that was available).
