Except that there are no such things as Criterion Contemporaries and they usually don’t get announced on the same day anyway.

he's gotta throw us off the scent a little bit, come on now
either way it's best guessing these for the 15th cause they get tossed off randomly as it is. fittingly..

Eraserhead upgrade
Eyes Without a Face upgrade
The Night of the Hunter upgrade
A History of Violence (and
The Shrouds on Criterion Contemporaries)
Bacurau
The Wicker Man
Seconding ryan in hoping that Wicker Man doesn't turn out to be true. I already imported Umbrella's Eyes Without A Face UHD since Criterion and BFI took too long, so I'm unlikely to offload the Australian disc. The Lynch, Laughton and Cronenberg would be easy pickups in the 50% sale next February/March if the October titles end up narrowly missing the fall sale.

I'm probably the only person here that wouldn't mind Wicker Man.
That's a blind spot for me.
Never seen it and down currently own a copy of it.

You're right, of course. I don't post much now because all the changes keep my head spinning, so it's easiest to focus on June, when a lot of gay-related titles are announced, and October, with its established pattern of horror and violence and monsters. And maybe February, when romantic movies might be in the mix.
Anyway, I meant Criterion Premieres, and I threw it in because it seemed very likely from the recent closet video with Cronenberg that he was in the office for more than just
The Shrouds. Criterion's relationship with him goes way back. And I only guessed
A History of Violence because I'm not a fan of Cronenberg's otherwordly stuff, so it's a personal wish.

I'm surprised
Eyes Without a Face has taken so long, but the others seem very right. I do really hope
Night of the Hunter is the next MGM/KLSC comeback 4K, especially since the Kino was poorly reviewed, didn't have much in the way of exclusive extras, and I didn't pick it up
I'm sure much to my behest there will be a Lynch title, but that's shooting fish in a barrel in terms of which one is next. they have
The Elephant Man and
Fire Walk With Me with releases elsewhere, but also new spine
The Straight Story (the one I actually want released!) and a potential
Eraserhead upgrade. as long as I see
The Sweet Hereafter at last (on the 3 year anniversary of the
Exotica release, mind you)...

for real. for all the memes and "I dare you to watch it", people forget what the movie is really about
EDIT: woof, total worst case scenario month for me. have fun kids!

Did anyone have Altered States on their bingo card?
Excited about Deep Crimson, a film I hadn't heard of before (I do have the Film Movement BD of Ripstein's Time To Die). Frustrated that they keep upgrading Del Toro's absolutely tedious late career work ahead of The Devil's Backbone (though maybe Sony wants to have exclusivity a little bit longer on that film) and it's a pity Lynch didn't appear to have supervised a Dolby Vision grade of FWWM before his passing (again frustrating because it's my favorite of his).
