I'm not going to lie, the auto-tune thing sort of worked for me.

Re: Awards Season 2010
Perhaps I should just plan on muting the TV during the memoriam instead of listening to Celine Dion murder "Smile."

They're still doing the memorial tribute, just not the regular montages (like last year's horror tribute).

Oh come on, I think people have come to vastly overrate both Exit Through the Gift Shop and its supposed importance.knives wrote:Chicken shits.

Re: Awards Season 2010
This awards shows are usually bad, but this year takes the cake. Between the horrible hosting job, the stupid, forced banter, the ADD camera shots and the awful auto-tune montage, this one has been unwatchable. The producers should learn that they need to bring actual comedians to make the awards entertaining.

What importance? I personally prefer Restrepo. I'm just saying they didn't want to risk anything interesting.mfunk9786 wrote:Oh come on, I think people have come to vastly overrate both Exit Through the Gift Shop and its supposed importance.knives wrote:Chicken shits.

Only IF they could of forced Godard to the Oscars and gave him the award tonight instead of last fall......

Picturing Godard blowing off Franco's film school fanboyishness and trying to pick up Anne Hathaway by insulting her

I was saddened when Bob Hope died this year, and all of your disrespect aside, I think it is nice that the Academy is honoring him.

Re: Awards Season 2010
I don't think that's very shocking. It's far easier to give an award to a documentary with an easy political topic that will make voters feel good about themselves than a documentary about a graffiti artist.mfunk9786 wrote:Oh pleaseknives wrote:The voters. They want to stay prestigious.

Graffiti is about as controversial as marijuana at this point. It's not the 50s anymore guys. Time to stop acting like 'the man' is keeping graffiti down.

They won't even nominate a movie about pot.
