Wonder Boys arrived from Amazon. Burned disc. Also, the cover art looks like it was cropped and cut by a child with scissors.

Not pressed. I was surprised because the other recent Paramount discs I've picked up from Amazon (The Two Jakes, Atlantic City, etc.) were pressed.

I’m pretty sure a warning was issued about the December titles, that ordering them from Amazon meant BD-R. The universally pressed discs have a different MSRP. Also the lack of Blu-Ray logo tipped people off. Still waiting for DD to ship mine to confirm it’s pressed elsewhere online

Ladybugs (1992) also getting re-issued in February. Lionsgate released it in 2010 as part of a very small distribution of Paramount titles.

Amazing how this gets a Blu while Istvan Szabo's
Sunshine(1999) is still only available on DVD.

Hopefully that Hughes det gets broken up sometime down the road - I’d love to get She’s Having a Baby on Blu but don’t really need the rest.

As the old new game in town, Paramount is now re-releasing the Mirimax films fast and furiously. The last couple of days many of the titles are hitting the preorder lists.

I saw The Saint theatrically, but instead of remembering anything about the movie itself, I only remember Entertainment Weekly’s F grade.

I used to get The Saint and Spartan mixed up when I was in high school (two Val Kilmer deception-thrillers that begin with S..) until I actually saw them. Now I remember literally nothing about The Saint, while Spartan remains as one of a small group of films sticking out slightly from my closest shelf to signal its status as a go-to movie for a bad day. Where's that film's U.S. blu-ray release?
