There's just far too many to choose from. I've been picking up lots of MoC's silents, but the price on the Naruse is tempting (never seen any of his stuff); between this and the DD Kino sale, my silent film collection is growing at the relatively minor cost of my bachelor's degree.

Please, buy two copies of the Naruse-set  to encourage them to issue a second volume of Naruse O:).

By all means, get the Naruse set. Not only is it cheap - I paid 25 GBP for it on Amazon a few months ago (d'oh!!) - but it's a superb collection of films and supplements for one of the most exquisite (IMO) film-makers ever. It's worth the investment at the price alone, but it's also a good introduction to Naruse.

Even if I only buy one thing from this sale, it will be the Naruse set. I've already seen Floating Clouds thanks to Wild Side, but, I mean, I bought this movie for 15€ ! Here, I have 3 of them plus a 200 page book. It's not a good bargain anymore, it's more than that.

With all these additions of titles to the sale, Eureka / MoC is coming close to a shop offering all its DVDs and BRs.

You won't regret that purchase - believe me! If you can, get Police as well. Throughout the film, the photography is excellent. It looks like it was shot in the past decade! I sat there drinking in Tovoli's pictures and it made my day. Depardieu is a dynamo all throughout the first half while in the second half he settles down to his Loulou self. And it's got Mlle. Bonnaire so have a weekend of this and À nos amours. Again, MOC delivers the goods for these films.

They prepared some incredible offers, so they thought people would be cautious if they posted them today...

I placed an order with MOC back on Friday morning. (Well, *three* orders; I didn't know until after the fact that there's a way to order more than one item at a time.) The default address I have through Paypal is for a place I no longer live; I accidentally submitted one of the orders with this address. I realized the mistake I had made right away, so I sent an e-mail about it to MOC. I gave my order number, as well as the numbers of the two orders that were going to the right address. I've not heard anything back. Is this normal? Will it be taken care of in time? This is my first time ordering anything from MOC, so I don't know how it works/they work.

Did you email Kevin at [email protected]? If not, I would do that right away.

I did. I've received no response thus far, though the holiday weekend may've played a part.

Well Kevin both receives the e-mails and handles the orders I believe so you may be OK. I've submitted the wrong address so many times now that I've received e-mails back after ordering double-checking that I've chosen the right address this time. :P

Just wanted to thank everyone for posting this info - I just received the Naruse box set yesterday. I am anxious to get into it. Wanted to thank the guys at Eureka too, even though I ordered the set a day after the official sale, they honored the sale price on it. You will definitely be getting more of my business!

I just got my Naruse box as well, and started Repast before my multi-region player started crapping out on me (see thread in International DVDs subforum). The set is exquisite though. Also got Mabuse and L'argent earlier; L'argent was a slap-in-the-face for me. Highly recommended as it's still on sale for 10 pounds.
