At one point, Rebel says that her son's father is a guy named Depardieu, and that he only visits with it's not French pilot season. I assume that this is a reference to Gerard Depardieu, but what is his connection to the show or rebel? It seems much too specific to be a random coincidence.
Someone in
Buzzfeed comments states that her son's name is "Lem," and suggests that this is a continuation of the Howard tradition of naming children after their places of conception (the LEM in Ron Howard's office). The implication seems to be that she met Gerard Depardieu in the Imagine offices, and they had sex there.

Fakeblock home
And of course, someone made a Fakeblock app, but went with "The Fakeblock" instead:

it does take a concerted effort to get into this thing at the start (i can't tell you how many times my wife and i started and restarted episode 2--who knew 20 something minutes could feel like such a slog?) but once the ball is rolling the "season" really does get better and better. if ever there were a more ambitious display of context creating comedy, i'd like to know what it is. there are moments in the second half of this thing that are actually kind of mind-blowing in their own little way. and, yeah, the gags don't always pay off immediately, but a lot of them come back around and find their worth.
all told, probably not something i'd put on par with the original run, but better and in many ways much more interesting than i expected it to be.

Apparently none of the show's cover art designers could coordinate their schedules, so
Season 4 DVD cover art responsibility has been delegated to the general public.

That's actually kind of neat. Hopefully they pick one that doesn't suck but I put faith in fans on Tumblr doing a better job than some rando designer

Including compression artifacts in the actual cover design is a bold aesthetic choice.

Does anyone know if the UK season 4 set has extras or not?

After barely making it through the Netflix season, I can't muster up much excitement for that.

But Twin Peaks would have been different.

At least they'd be able to get all the Twin Peaks cast members together in one room at the same time to make the show.

But Arrested Development never relied on the entire Ensemble working together, but pieces seperated from one another into smaller groups. Buster and Maeby share one piece of dialogue the entire series, in the last episode of the original run. There's no reason why they should bring everyone in the same room at the same time.

Fracturing Season 4 as it was made it feel forced and dull. Perhaps your really specific example is correct, but it doesn't change the fact that scenes with Lindsay and Michael and Gob all interacting with one another (just to give one example of a combination of characters) were a trademark of the original series.

So long as the original version remains available, then ok. I'm aware of mixed opinions about it, but anyone who doesn't consider the fourth season one of the biggest formal experiments in television is out of their mind.

The fourth season of this show is unquestionably the greatest, without question, and is the only good thing Netflix has ever done.
