Mill Creek is releasing two Hammer Films Double Feature Blu-rays on September 6:
Hammer Films Double Feature Volume 1: The Two Faces of Dr. Jeklyll & The Gorgon
Hammer Films Double Feature Volume 2: The Revenge of Frankenstein & The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb

A friend of mine just informed me that California Split is back in print on DVD. Apparently Mill Creek has got it out again. Don't know yet if they ported over the commentary (my friend's ordered it--I have the old disc), but on the positive front the new cover replicates the original poster art.

My friend has the California Split disc in hand and is reporting the commentary is absent.

I really like this film, and the Luddite-pleasing anti-technological paranoid atmosphere it conjures up, though it is very 80s! (And certainly part of that period where young pre-teen kids were being placed in shocking amounts of danger before saving the day from their oblivious elders: Flight of the Navigator, D.A.R.Y.L., Child's Play and so on!)

No release date yet, but Mill Creek is going to release Blind Fury and Silent Rage on Blu-ray

Yeesh. Bad publicity has been good publicity I suppose.

Probably helps that it's unlikely to see the inside of a physical store. Unless one goes out of their way to purchase it online there's little reason for people to acknowledge its release.
