Bottle Rocket....although I would love a Cannonball Run deluxe edition....maybe sneak Cannonball Run II in there as well. Those films need to get the treatment they deserve. No, I'm not smiling. I'm dead serious.

To the best of my recolection, the only time a spine number has been assigned and then replaced was when Au Revoir Les Enfants was originally announced as a double-disc set and then released as part of a box set almost a year later (I can't remember what the number was).

Hopefully the site listing will be updated (upgraded?) along with the number. The main Criterion site is now the only official info source that isn't listing this as a two-disc release at $39.99. I'm hoping more special features are on the way as well.

Number 293, where the catalogues at the time listed Au Revoir Les Enfants as that number which was then replaced by The Flowers of St Francis.

It also happened to The Lower Depths as well, when it was delayed a year to add the Renoir film and It's Wonderful to Create doc.

So, and this is pure speculation on my part, perhaps whatever director is responsible for spine 400 is also responsible for the film now to be 401 and Criterion wants to release them with back to back spines like they did for so many other films in the past, (WR and Sweet Movie being the most recent example)... I'm naturally thinking it's Godard but it could be anyone really I guess.

I think it's too soon for Pierrot le fou (still screening), if it is Godard it's def Breathless and then maybe 2 or 3 Things or Vivre se vie
