Yes, that's EXACTLY what I get too, and as you can see, it's actually the whole screen, not a small part of it. (I didn't bother trying to freeze frame it before, so I couldn't tell.) It seems to be one single frame, so it goes by fast, but still, it should be fixed.

That's almost certainly an HDCAM SR glitch. Reusing tapes is the main culprit. It plagued MoC for many months (around the time of the Japanese tsunami disaster, because the factory that makes them was flooded, so everyone had to start reusing old tapes) but we caught each one in proofing, thankfully.

Upgrade their Comedies and Proverbs box set to Blu and they'll get mine, too.

The Fassbinder Foundation is planning to restore Eight Hours... for release in 2015:

Thanks, it looks great! I have to say, Arrow has been doing really excellent work as of late. I finally picked up a few of their Bava sets--the transfers are gorgeous, and they're generously appointed with extras. Whoever they choose for their big box set, I have no doubt it will be revelatory. (Personally I'm still hoping for Boro, since he's one of the filmmakers most badly in need of reevaluation...)

I completely agree. Before the last 12-18 months I always waited for reviews before even considering buying an Arrow product. Now they're on the same level as Criterion and MOC where each release is almost guaranteed to be of the highest quality.

Oh man, I'd be all over a Dr. Goldfoot boxset (or more likely, the first one with the sequel - Bava's Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs - tacked on as an extra). The Bava one is garbage, but the first is a ton of fun.

If Arrow ever get around to Bava's KILL BABY KILL, maybe they could license the documentary that was featured on the withdrawn Dark Sky DVD of the film.

He also mentions that they're releasing lots of De Palmas. I've asked Arrow twice now if they plan on releasing Body Double to no response. Maybe they can't say anything yet because of the Twilight Time release? Think I'm going to take my chances and not bother with the overpriced TT release.

"Lots" may just mean the four that hadn't been released at the time of the interview: Dressed to Kill, Sisters, The Fury, Phantom of the Paradise. In fact, the interview may have been conducted before Arrow's Blow Out was released.

True, but I think I'll risk it. Although I've bought a couple of TT releases they are taking the piss with their pricing and even have the audacity to say if it goes missing en route then tough.

Runaway Train arrived today thanks to Arrow's early delivery. It looks wonderful in HD and I enjoyed all the extras as well as Michael's essay. Looking forward to the announcement of the next few titles, and wanted to suggest to Francesco and Tony and Callum to look into more Konchalovsky, especially Sibriada.

Emailed Arrow directly (instead of via Twitter) to ask if they plan on releasing Body Double and got a quick response:

Though we would love to release BODY DOUBLE we do not have any plans to release it right now, but will certainly be endeavouring to make it happen at some point in the future.

Translation: they can't clear the rights just yet.

(Or at least that's a reasonably safe bet!)
