The sale is live. Personally, I only splurged on Tess and Foreign Correspondent, as well as Summer Interlude for the free shipping.
I wonder if they'll ever try another Golden Ticket promotion in the future.

snagged Soft Skin, Satyricon and Kinoshita & World War II.
Interestingly, when I came back to the main sale page, it had been updated to show they were "Running Low!" on Rossellini's History Films, so snag that amazing set while you can.

Was super easy to checkout, etc. Grabbed Safe, The Vanishing, and Don't Look Now without incident. Despite being reminded that I never got that $10 gift certificate with my Eraserhead replacement disc.

Picked up the Godard, Don't Look Now, and finally upgraded Seventh Seal. Will pick up the Soft Skin via the RB Truffaut Blu-ray box

Went for The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant, Don't Look Now, and Every Man for Himself. (I also picked up the replacement case for The Night of the Hunter, but that's not part of the sale, of course.)

I've been saving my $10 off coupon for months for this sale (can't remember if it was from Eraserhead or brown blu-ray replacements). Not as great of a deal as usual for Canadians, due to the current exchange rate, but I picked up:
The Soft Skin, The Palm Beach Story, La cienaga, A Day in the Country, and The Night Porter

Ordered blus for Safe, Time Bandits, My Winnipeg, Don't Look Now, and the dual format Foreign Correspondent. This order also pushed me over 500 loyalty points. Now I can't wait for the next sale!

I decided not to get an IFC licensed film and got instead "The Rules of the Game", "Watership Down", and "Fellini Satyricon"

Went a bit crazy: A Man Escaped, Autumn Sonata, Blow Out, Close-up, Judex, Night of the Hunter, Paths of Glory, Videodrome. DVDs: Jeanne Dielman (tho I'm still hoping for the bluray...this, for me is one of the most influential films on modern cinema), Simon of the Desert. Eclipse: Chantal Akerman in the Seventies, Larisa Shepitko.

The Soft Skin is temporarily out of stock, and I can't place an order for it at the sale price! What's wrong with placing the order at the sale price?

That's how all the Criterion Flash sales have worked. Only good until stock runs out. Which is why they have that "Running Low" runner. That and inducing buying panic.

Picked up:
All That Jazz
The Big Chill
Lubitsch Musicals
The Palm Beach Story
The Sword of Doom
Tootsie
The Vanishing
Also pushed me over 500 points and therefore have a $50 gift certificate for a future purchase, which will come in handy soon enough.

My purchase this time around was much more conservative (and less new release-oriented) than past splurges: Mystery Train, Picnic at Hanging Rock, and (stretching way back) the Late Ozu Eclipse

A restrained haul for me, trying to grab some dual-format releases before they switch to separate blu and DVD packaging, plus my favorite Fellini film:
King of the Hill
Hidden Fortress
Tokyo Story
The Long Day Closes
Satyricon

Restrained myself. Been way too busy picking up other things. Holding out for the new Criterion releases out for forthcoming B&N sale.
Picked up:
An Autumn Afternoon
I Know Where I'm Going! (was hoping this would finally be upgraded, but gave up and bought the DVD. Thank me later.)
The Sword of Doom
The Four Feathers
Night and the City
Gimme Shelter
Rosetta
The Lady Vanishes
At this point I've got the kevyip of Damocles hanging heavily overhead.

I'm delighted to see that, apart from the usual suspects, Eyes without a Face shows as sold out. Hopefully, this demand would open the door for more Franju in the future.

Wouldn't get my hopes up--they may have only had 2 copies in stock when the sale began.

Damn East Coasters always get the best end of these deals - as I'm sure
Don't Look Now was long sold out before I could get a chance to place my order.
Its always most interesting to see what films people have been putting off for years and are just now getting around to buying. Anyway, here's what I bought:
Gifts: The Blob, Modern Times, 39 Steps, House shirt.
My Winnipeg
Palm Beach Story
Night Porter (mostly so the BN employees don't give me weird looks when I buy it (don't want a repeat of Salo)).
Frances Ha (I still say that newsletter clue was for To Be or Not To Be

)
La Vie de Boheme
Sansho the Bailiff (Will soon be selling my unopened MoC Mizoguchi box)
After all of that, I managed to end up $10 away from my next $50 gift card. Does anyone know if I can purchase a gift card - and that will count towards my total? (I know that spending a gift card doesn't count towards the total)
-Also it looks like Tess has sold out on Criterion's website (it has the "Buy at Amazon.com") - so I guess you'll have to scrounge around elsewhere for the digipack / dual format of Tess from now on (Foreign Correspondent is on backorder, but doesn't appear to have changed over just yet on Criterion's site).
