My copy's been on order for some time.

I've been badgering Arrow to pick this one up (and the 4K version of The Firemen's Ball, for which Arrow also owns the UK video rights), so it might be worth waiting to see if they do. I don't yet know if the extras on the Czech Closely Observed Trains disc are English-friendly, but the interviews on The Firemen's Ball definitely aren't.

I emailed the Czech NFA to ask them to confirm that this is indeed the bluray version (as it doesn't specify on the page itself) and received this interesting response:

"The price 539,00 Kc is for Bluray. Anyway, The Arrow Films company is releasing DVD and also BD of Ostře sledované vlaky soon so it will be available in the UK."

They certainly seem sure that Arrow have picked it up. Can anyone here confirm this?

I doubt anyone but Arrow themselves can confirm it (and they'd presumably prefer to wait until a monthly announcement to do so), but I have this feeling we'll see them. Which would be great, it's always nice to see Arrow release Criterion spines that haven't been upgraded already!

Yes, it is definitely the 3 DVD set as confirmed here \:D/ The article and the shop page for this re-release don't list the book so to be safe, I picked it up separately here.

This is my first time ordering from the NFA and my order apparently went through with my US address, but I am a little confused on how to pay. I think I have to send a money order to the NFA, but can anyone who has bought something from them delivered to the US and chosen to pay by money order comment on this or PM me? I can't find anything on their English website concerning it.

I ordered that set earlier this year. You should get an email from someone at NFA within a few days after you place the order and they'll instruct you on how to pay. If I remember correctly they only accept payment through bank transfer, but you can write back and ask if they'll accept something else now (maybe policy has changed since I talked to them). They're really nice, but the process was a bit of a hassle.

For cheap international bank transfers, use TransferWise. In all likelihood it is much cheaper than going through your bank, unless you have a special account.
