Shame it didn't end up with someone that would do a UHD (Arrow, 88, Vinegar Syndrome, etc.)

Maybe Radiance have it in the UK, Fran has a good number of Petri titles he’s done.

Shameless has it in the UK (and their master is what Kino is using.)

Welp that’s a shame but I hope at least the transfer is a bit better.

If I'm not mistaken, the master used for the Blue Underground Blu-ray is one of those machine noise riddled ones that plagued their early Blu-rays of Italian films. So the Kino should be better.

It’s strange that they would say this as the Shameless release was the same scanner-noise riddled master that Blue Underground used. The film, however, did get a restoration after that release and is what Carlotta used (of course, it has that Ritrovada grading):

They may be/hopefully are wrong about the source of the master.

The thing that confuses is if it was the Shameless transfer, why is marked as a 2015 transfer if the disc is credited for 2014? It just doesn’t add up, though perhaps it might’ve been a simple typo.

The thing is, this will probably sell orders of magnitude more copies than one of the Lubitsch silents they release (God bless em). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Today's announcement
Is there a place (link) to get KL announcements?
Thanks!
You can either go on their official Twitter or Facebook pages to see the announcements.
Was there ever any update on KL's Shane 4K? Is it still coming?

No updates yet. I'm assuming that the restoration process is taking a while.

No but why is it listed as part of the sale when it's not discounted at all?

KL Studio Classics Baseball Cap wrote:Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there. If you want, for only $39.95 before tax or shipping, I can tell everyone within a glance just how sexy, hip, and wonderful you truly are, and that you like your physical media blown out within a year's time....but who doesn't love that feeling? The holidays are fast approaching, and if you ever have to make a Sophie's Choice (TITLE NOT AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE) between being just an average nobody and utter enlightenment, please ADD TO CART before our system and your credit card information is compromised for what probably won't be the last time.

But speaking of last times....

In that you expected to have seen more or that you expected to have seen less?

They release a lot of stuff I’d never want to watch, and a lot that I’d classify as “Maybe some day” picks (low priority, but I’m curious, so maybe one day— stuff like What’s So Bad About Feeling Good? or Soldier Blue, &c), but I don’t think I realized just how much overall they’ve released that I’ve seen— maybe because I’m always focusing on what I don’t have when looking at that site!
