I'm still waiting on the Carrie "Plug-It-Up" edition in a commemorative tampon box.

Alpha Video covers are fish in a barrel, but this one is particularly beautiful:

Wow.. Leif Garrett... there's a name from the past-- cover of numberous Tiger Beat/Teen Beat mags and wall-posters adorning the bedrooms of young tumescent 14 yr old girls perfumed with the invisible pink aroma of pheromones in the 1970's.

You can still see the Leif Garrett if you're a fan of such guilty pleasures as "World's Dumbest.."

I really shouldn't be reading this at work where I have to stifle my laughter.
(Thank goodness I wasn't taking a slurp of coffee at the time...)

"You never know what you're gonna get..."

A shitty, overrated piece of feel good nonsense.

Every time I think of Forrest Gump I'm reminded of Christmas dinner in 1994 where I had to listen to that crappy soundtrack over and over again. Not the rock soundtrack, the original music soundtrack.

I'd prefer an actual box of chocolates to Forrest Gump. In any edition.

No, a home HIV-testing kit to make sure you don't end up like those filthy degenerate hippies in the movie.

I'd think the movie alone is enough to induce vomiting.

I don't know, I always found the part funny where it shows Hanks in KKK costume.

Super excited about this new release of what I think is one of the most beautiful, perfect little films ever made but that cover! What the fuck the rose is doing there! And the gigantic blow up of the smiling Angelica!

Taking another look at Ghost World earlier today, I realized I hadn't noticed Thora Birch showing up in anything on my radar since Silver City in 2004 and I wondered what she'd been up to. Then I found this:

Looks like poor Thora got swimminghorsed.

The cover for Falcon & Snowman I've been seeing is worse than this, but fairly similar:

Hate this cover. Sure, it's tackiness suits the movie, but Elizabeth Berkeley looks like a worm. Compare it to the original DVD cover where you actually see everything down to the foot, which gives you the impression that you are looking at a human being.

You have Rowdy Roddy Piper in your film and don't put him on the cover? What the fuck. I don't care how old it, THIS should be the default cover image for anything Hot Rod is in. Just because.

Millions of copies sold on the strength of the cover alone, I tells ya.
