Oh boy, me too. That movie is hilarious.

Agreed, very boring."A nos Amours" is a little simple for my taste

Every year for the past five years (that I've seen) someone has made this comment and there has never been an April Fools joke made by Criterion. Can we please just let this theory die?SncDthMnky wrote:Isn't april 1st coming up?
Equinox discussion dates back since before my first post (not that that'll be a chronological landmark for anyone else). A nos amours has been known for a couple months now, including a Spine #0 glitch... and for what it's worth, I think both of those covers are tops. I like the unframed photo style on A nos amours a great deal. It presents a sense of "french art film" austerity, but gives it a sleek, modern sheen.domino harvey wrote:wait, has there even been talk of these two movies being released on the board? they're both (Equinox and the french one) completely new to me
3.) Distinct Possibilities: (Titles that haven't been officially confirmed yet but have either been mentioned by Criterion or linked to Criterion by other events/companies)backstreetsbackalright wrote:Equinox discussion dates back since before my first post (not that that'll be a chronological landmark for anyone else). It also shows skin, which sells DVDs as well.backstreetsbackalright wrote:and for what it's worth, I think both of those covers are tops. I like the unframed photo style on A nos amours a great deal. It presents a sense of "french art film" austerity, but gives it a sleek, modern sheen.
I like it but when you first saw it didn't you, for a second, think that she had the arm of a 300-pound woman? And doesn't the shadow on her upper lip look like she's sporting a bad, teenage moustache?LightBulbFilm wrote:[img]http://www.criterion.com/content/images ... 00x140.jpg
This cover is stunning. What's the film like?Doctor Sunshine wrote:I like it but when you first saw it didn't you, for a second, think that she had the arm of a 300-pound woman? And doesn't the shadow on her upper lip look like she's sporting a bad, teenage moustache?LightBulbFilm wrote:

That's understandable. She is French, after all.Jem wrote:HER upper lip? I thought it was a guy!
Anyone have a visual of the original poster art shown on the "Flashback Edition"?Buttery Jeb wrote:
A rumor going round was that the cover was going to be a variation on the original poster art for the film (which you can see on the inner sleeve of Universal's "Flashback Edition" release), but done up with black-light ink. Maybe that hasn't been finallized yet.
i never thought I'd agree with a dead model-cum-bounty hunter, but stranger things have happened on this forum. That cover is gorgeous.domino harvey wrote:that Equinox cover is awesome, it got me intereested, someone who's never heard of the film... that's what a cover's SUPPOSED to do.
