The Spanish Harry Potter?
It's Family approved so there's got to be some Jesus in the movie. Maybe Roddy Piper plays the Savior.

THIS should be the default cover image for anything Hot Rod is in. Just because.
Just because the public needs to be warned of such things?

Seriously, that dog's owner is whacked inna cabeza. And that remix/song-parody is frigging brilliant. I've seen that thing almost ten times and I still die laughing.

I love that quote because it says nothing about the film other than it's a sequel to a masterpiece, and for all we know the review was incredibly negative.

One more step closer to the day we get a cover that just says "It's...a...movie!"~ Leonard Maltin

I'm waiting for the day my
fake Rosenbaum quote becomes reality.
EDIT: I guess that pic link in the original post is dead.

This, because, with a
little restraint, it could've managed to be a nice cover rather than extremely embarrassing:

I have a vague memory that I did, alas.
What can I say? I was smoking pot & watching anything that showed up on USA UP ALL NIGHT in those days ...

What a long, strange trip this has been - that's by the same geniuses responsible for the classic
Moon Song.

Really sad that they are trying to fool people into thinking that this is part of the Lord of the Rings franchise.

I wished it was a porn by the time I was halfway through this one. It is about someone who watches porn, though.

Sadly, everything, including the movie, is real.

but the heads are all disproportionate!
The guy on the left (is that Paul Walker?) is wearing a turtleneck under his dress shirt? unreal, literally.

The movie was shot with different actors, and then name heads were added digitally in post. So the poster is an accurate representation of the film.

Matt Dillon receives top billing and he's not on the poster.
"Starring Matt Dillon as the voice of Hayden Christensen's penis."

another photoshop mess. Is this supposed to be in Hong Kong, Seoul, or Tokyo? because I see a lot of Chinese, Korean, and Japanese writing all over the place.
Plus, the combination of the films is an unusual choice, and that the quote, "Vengeance Trilogy AND Oldboy" when Oldboy is actually part of the triology....
Also the word "Flick" is dangerously close to "Fuck" in font

Who doesn't like sci-fi fucks?
I'll give them points for at least putting some thought into the design, even if they failed on every level. It's better than just pasting heads on other people's bodies.

The choice of films is probably just an easy way to repackage the non Vengeance Trilogy films that Tartan originally released (they'd already repackaged the Vengeance trilogy itself a couple of times). The original Tartan release of Joint Security Area was a two disc set with the film on one disc and the second with all the documentaries, trailers and music videos etc. So it looks as if in addition to a ridiculous cover it is lacking in comparison to its previous release.
Agreed on the other points. The "SF Flick" comment reminds me of that unfortunately titled extra feature on the Sin City disc "The 15 Minute Flick School", which had a similar kind of font that ran the 'l' and 'i' together.
Sadly it just turned out to be a 'making of' documentary, rather than a 'making out' one.
