So they aren't going with the wacky b design?

Someone made those for DVDAf, I doubt they even physically exist yet

Going by sell sheets, the Wacky B will just be on a sticker on the shrinkwrap of Criterion's BR titles.

yeah, those covers are make-ups. Criterion is not going with those stupid blue cases as far as I know.

They are for new titles, but not for existing titles

This might be the wrong thread (eh, it's a packaging question anyway) but does anyone have recommendations for a place to get replacement DVD cases for the 2-disc sets Criterion used to put out a few years ago? (Something like Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, or any number of other titles.) My case is weirdly bent, like the small of a woman's back.

I'd say that the Brand Upon the Brain!, Salo, Patriotism, and Mishima releases all received pristine design and packaging. Especially Brand.

I will admit that Criterion seems to slap together layouts for some of the releases like The Spy Who Came in From the Cold or Walker.

Sorry for posting here in the middle of the month, domino.

But when does everyone expect the December stuff to be announced, this week or next week?

You'd say that about Walker? Really?

Walker's art might not be everyone's taste, but it still looks like a lot of effort went into it.

It'll probably happen Monday. But I'll post here every day at about 3PM until then to let you guys know if they've announced stuff yet. Hold on a minute...

Nope, nothing yet. See you guys tomorrow!

P.S. The Walker art rules.

Is that just a general guess?

Titles are always updated on or near the 15th

Remember, these are the December titles. Last year it was Two Lane Blacktop and a holiday box set of repackaged existing Bergman titles. With everything new and Blu coming out in November, I wouldn't get my hopes up for anything too terribly exciting in terms of announcements Monday.

I'm betting the three Fullers and that's it

And maybe the Walkabout re-release and Blu-Ray.

and Ozu.

More Ozu? You're just joking, right? ...right?

It would be truly funny if Criterion put four existing Ozu titles in a new gift box ala the Bergman set last year.

Oh my God, that would be amazing. Would certainly erase any lingering doubts that this was Criterion's worst year

No. It takes a lot of work to suck that hard.
