I just noticed this so if it happened earlier and I missed it my apologies but according to Criterion's site the remaining Tati films in the collection (M. Hulot..., Mon oncle, and the DVD and BD of Playtime) are all out-of-print.

No surprise at all - we all knew this was coming when StudioCanal took over the worldwide rights to the Tati catalogue.

I'm guessing the BFI Tati releases will also go OOP sooner rather than later, although they cunningly managed to catch the Christmas market last year with their opportunistic BD reissues.

Damn it. I was hoping Criterion would get re-issues on Blu-ray for the first two films, as well as Jour de fete and Parade, out before they had to put them OOP. Sucks too, because they confirmed working on Jour de fete a number of years ago. I hope they didn't waste too much time on it. And hopefully StudioCanal/Lionsgate can get Blu-rays of these out here in the US sooner rather than later, but I'm not holding my breath.

That was never going to happen, with the tight deadline. BFI really had to pull out all the stops and rearrange their schedule and even then barely squeaked through the shrinking window of opportunity. Thank god they did!

I think there was a question about Criterion's license having a longer duration. Obviously not. No big deal, the BFIs will now be a no-brainer.

Well, until they too go out of print.

One has to think that since the StudioCanal deal for the Tati films is its own unique agreement with the Tati Estate that they would get around to releasing them sooner than some of the other titles they own outright.

Are they planning further restorations? If I recall correctly, that was part of the original announcement?

Warner Brothers have discontinued Beetlejuice on both dvd and blu.

I believe this year is Beetlejuice's 25th anniversary, so I'm sure WB will announce some sort of mega boxset that they will be hoping to get fans to double dip on (a la Willy Wonka, Cuckoo's Nest, etc.).

The Lionsgate dvd/blu of Dead Alive (aka Braindead) has been discontinued. It's worth noting that Wingnut Films started restoring the early Peter Jackson films a few years ago and have been shopping the rights to Bad Taste/Meet The Feebles/Braindead. I assume that Lionsgate discontinuing their release indicates that their rights have lapsed.
Personally I would love to see Criterion release the early Jackson features but it seems much more likely to me that these films were picked up by a more genre friendly label such as Shout!

EDIT: While the status was only recently changed on Mike's Movie Mayhem in the last couple of days, it looks like both releases have been unavailable for awhile. Cheapest copy of the Dead Alive blu on Amazon is $150.

Damn! It seems like it was only a few months ago that I passed on it while it was on sale @ Fry's for $7.99 because I was hoping Arrow films would pick it up & release the unedited version along with tons of juicy extras...

I think a Criterion box of Jackson's first few films would sell better than the Pasolini Trilogy or the David Lean set. I'd certainly buy a copy.

BBC Warner's edition of Jonathan Miller's Alice in Wonderland is listed as discontinued at Michael's Movie Mayhem. This was a pretty great edition, as it included all of the supplements from the previous Home Vision disc plus Dennis Potter's BBC film Alice, which basically served as a template for his later Dreamchild.

Having seen both versions for the first time in the past year, I second Domino's recommendation. I already own the original and will definitely pick up the musical knowing that it will soon be OOP.
