Could just be for one of his Trailers From Hell intros, or maybe an appearance on extras for a Dante or Corman release

regarding Hou, I wouldn't read too much into it. It could be the World Film Foundation's The Boys from Fengkuei.

Do we think that the Lewis Milestone phantom page is for something besides The Front Page? Which is not listed on the Milestone page. Perhaps CC hasn't updated the page yet.

My guess would be the 1939 version of Of Mice and Men, which - if I'm correct - is speculated to be a former Image title possibly forthcoming.

Wow! Is this the first WB title they're releasing that's already on Blu?

Is there a point in using spoilers when the new thread for the release is posted directly afterward?

Bring on a proper version of Performance, then, if they are already revisiting Warner Blu titles. I know a lot of people like

Being There
, but it seems a bit superfluous to me unless the extras are really staggering. They ought to focus more on stuff like Performance where there is a lot of unexploited supplemental potential and where the original release has been messed up in some way. I'm sure the Cammell/Roeg is also potentially forthcoming, but that feels a lot more urgent than the Ashby (though maybe that has to do with trying to figure out what the hell the audio problem is exactly and how to fix it).

Hm. This in conjunction with the Hou on Filmstruck seems to suggest Criterion is going back to the IFC vault (which they haven't really ever done, as far as I can recall). This feels like too many titles, though - the Hou I could understand but all of these shy of In the Loop don't really seem like they'd sell very well at all.

If they go by the pace it's taken to release 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, it'll take at least 5 years.

More like 6 score and 5 years, 4 months, 3 weeks, and an indeterminate number of days

I've just realized that, in the long term (or even as soon as the last entry's home video release presumably late this year or early next), it is a very feasible possibility that Criterion will put out The Trip Trilogy, as all three entries are distributed by IFC (first never put on BD in the US, extra footage from TV cuts not included as bonus features on any US release). This would be low-key amazing. But In the Loop will suffice for the long-term, I guess.

Lost in La Mancha would probably sell fine if it was packaged with Gilliam's upcoming Quixote film (via Amazon Studios) but I don't see a standalone release selling a lot of units.

Me and You and Everyone We Know will probably be an ok seller. I'm not really a fan.

In the Loop is most welcome. Criterion could have released it years ago but passed it off to MPI. I guess now that Armando is in the big leagues thanks to Veep; Criterion had a change of heart.

If I could afford it I would, so I could dump them in the sea and save you all.
