So it's my understanding that for this release, the repeated word "fuck" has been replaced with "shit". If that is indeed the case, is "shit" really any more family-friendly that "fuck"?

Is this the version where George VI doesn't get so brutally whipped before he gets crucified for our sins? If so, I'm relieved that I can finally take my whole Monarch-worshipping family to enjoy it!
While we are having fun, here's a question: Is this just a repurposed version of Longford?

Now, what the fuck MPAA... I just saw the PG-13 Last Train Home and it had at least 7 subtitled fucks-- are you tryin to tell me them chinaman's gobbledygook fucks is more family-friendly than homegrown english speakin fucks?

If I were doing the poster design, I would have tried to figure out a way for the obnoxious "Rated PG-13" banner to, you know, just coincidentally be placed over Colin Firth's mouth.
