Seems odd. Both BFI and MOC release play it safe with the cover (no Klansman on horseback) and come with intelligent extras that handle the more sensitive material.

Just as well Griffith retitled the film - it premeried as THE CLANSMAN.

I personally am looking forward to being able to retire off the back of selling these two contraband titles in the dead of night somewhere.
