Toby Huss may or may not have been on Hey Dude (probably not)
AVC: Your IMDB page says that you played Mr. Ernst on Hey Dude for two episodes. Is that true?

TH: I can’t confirm or deny this rumor. [Laughs.] You know, I could have played Mr. Ernst but I sure don’t remember it.

AVC: Was it before they cast the other guy?

TH: I don’t know. I was pretty fucked up back in the ’90s, so who knows.

AVC: You don’t remember spending any time on a fake ranch?

TH: Who knows? Who knows how these things all work out, huh?
I can't believe the AV Club didn't even bother to ask him about his funniest role (Jack Frost on NewsRadio)

If they could just release a DVD of Pete and Pete Season 3, whose DVD release was cancelled when they were releasing them, I could be happy.

A smart and logical programming decision? Finally! It's amazing how little all these vocal and easily exploitable 90s Nostalgia Fans have been marginalized by the very companies that could be raking in the big bux from their memories.

So basically it's turned into a resort I would want to spend a vacation in (versus one I would stay miles away from)?

Until recently it used to house the Blue Man Group, I believe

Yes, the Blue Man Group takes up part of the space once used by Nickelodeon Studios. Given that the studio closed ten years ago, it's no surprise the branding has been removed. I went through the studio tour in early 2001 (not long before that was discontinued) and needed to explain to airport security why there was remnants of green slime on our backpacks! Hulk Hogan and his (then) wife made a surprise appearance during the visit as well.

I don't agree with the sentiment, but found it interesting.

Well it sure looks like a depressing change to me, especially since the lot looks like one of the generic facilities from Allen's Sleeper. Although since Nick isn't there anymore it's not a surprising change.

I should have mentioned this, well, several years ago, (better late than never, right?) but I own quite a few of the 90s Nick DVDs released as DVD-Rs by Amazon (multiple seasons of Are You Afraid of the Dark, Hey Arnold [before the Shout release], Doug, and Rugrats), and every one is on pressed DVDs. I bought a couple of them as recently as a month ago. The only one I've ever received that was actually a DVD-R is the Games and Sports set.

Perpetually obsessed with children's television from 25 years ago for some unknown reason, The AV Club has put up a timely oral history of the Double Dare obstacle course

EDIT: Okay, well, I suppose some kind of an anniversary special is around the corner, and the oral history is a pretty fun read, but I still miss the old, cerebral AV Club more than ever

Trailer for the new Are You Afraid of the Dark limited series. It stars one of the kids from the new It films and is set in a carnival with creepy clowns...

Apparently an Etsy seller made a blu-ray set of the complete series of The Adventures of Pete and Pete that has solid reviews from buyers. Not ideal, but I'm seriously considering biting.
