Dang. Now how the hell am I supposed to craft a baby cart of death?
Apparently the diagram is hidden in the spine of the release, in a "secret compartment".
Cue everyone frantically looking through all their digipacks for other packaging easter eggs.

Have they ever done anything like this before?

Wow, totally did not notice that. Pretty cool. The spine on mine stuck out a bit but I thought it was just put together wrong. Never thought to open it.

Nice. Now that the world has gone to hell, we all are going to need a baby cart of death.

Is it possible to update the packaging photos on the website to show this?

All their boxsets have that secret compartment but they're probably mostly empty. Very clever.

Oh, I get it! It's like the diagram is springing out of a slot in the package, like the blades from the baby cart!

I actually think Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown is wonderful. Agreed about Mildred Pierce though, really not great.

I love that Mildred Pierce cover, although I've never seen the film. Women on the Verge is also very nice. The rest are whatever

Wait I thought they've announced Wooden Clogs months ago?
Loving Mildred Pierce, though the font on Crawford and Curtiz's names reminds me of The Night of the Hunter's

I included it for completeness, since it's finally being released in February.

I LOVE the two Almodovar covers so far. I really hope Criterion maintains this aesthetic for any future releases of his films.
I also really like the Mildred Pierce cover. To each their own, I suppose.

Is Woman on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown done by Dan Stiles?

This information is always on Criterion's page for the film. It was by Malika Favre (who also did ¡Átame!).

The Almodovar is fabulous! I'm not that big a fan of the movie, but this cover is drawing me to it. Mildred Pierce...the basic image is ok, but the color scheme is all wrong. Cameraperson is pretty blech.

Love the Almodovar cover! Too bad about about the colors on Mildred Pierce indeed but great to see it being released
