Watched this for the nth time tonight. The credits say The Monks's "I Hate You" and Captain Beefheart's "Her Eyes Are a Blue Million Miles" are used in the movie. Where? Anyone?

The Captain Beefheart tune is on when the landlord comes over and asks for the rent, at the same time that the Dude is listening to his answering machine. There's a lot going on in that scene, so it's easy to miss.
I am saying this based on my memory, so I may be wrong.

A new 2-disc SD DVD? They really ought to have done that last year. If they stall on the Blu-Ray, I'll be very annoyed. This is something that is slowly starting to bug me on a daily fucking basis now - studios announcing SD DVD SEs of currently available titles and not announcing the Blu-Ray simultaneously or not announcing at all, leaving the customer confused and vexed.

It'll depend on the extras. Naturally, a Jeff Bridges/John Goodman commentary would be more than reason enough to re-buy it (for the third time).

Agreed. And Bridges has done a commentary track before.
A commentary by the real "Dude", Jeff Dowd would be a nice touch. But basically, I found that the I'm A Lebowski, You're A Lebowski, to be the best substitute for DVD extras so far. It's gonna be pretty hard to top that book and all of its info.

Yeha, it was close to a year ago, but the Monks song I believe is in the first or second bowling alley scene.
