I noticed this some time ago but neglected to post here. A few Bruce Conner films are missing:
Mea Culpa (1981), LUKE (2006), His Eye is on the Sparrow (2007), and Easter Morning from this year.
There are also some missing Frédéric Back titles: Abracadabra (1970), Inon, or the Conquest of Fire (1972), The Creation of Birds (1972), and Taratata! (1977).
Thanks in advance if these can be added.

I've submitted:
Mea Culpa (1981)
His Eye is on the Sparrow (2007)
Easter Morning (2008)
Will add links when the titles have been added.
I think that
Luke (2006) is listed in the IMDb as
Luke (1967), dating from when the footage was shot?

I need to track down my dvd of these films. Once I've done that I'll submit.
Jan 4: Submitted the Back titles -
Abracadabra (1970)
Inon, or the Conquest of Fire (1972)

All but one of the short films included in
Korean Academy of Film Arts - My Beautiful Short Stories Vol. 2 are missing from IMDB. The one that's there is
Homo Videocus (1990), directed by Byun Hyuk and Lee Jae-Yong; the others are as follows:
YesAsia wrote:# "Chang Soo Gets The Job" (dir. Kim Ui Seok, Marriage Story)
Three pickpockets make a formidable team. Chang Soo's role is to lure their victim to a safe place where they can fool him easily. The problem? Chang Soo can't stand the fact he's doing the hardest job, and getting paid less than the rest. Features audio commentary with director.
# "A Trace of a Circle" (dir. No Hyo Jung, Indian Summer)
One day at the horse track. The excitement before the start, the chaos during the race, anger and happiness mixed together when it's all over.
# "Andromeda" (dir. Lee Young Jae, The Harmonium in My Memory)
A man discovers a princess called Andromeda living in a forest with a rich man she doesn't love. They fall in love and escape, but life doesn't turn out as they expected. Features audio commentary with director.
# "My Name is Sang Woo" (dir. Lee Jung Hyang, The Way Home)
Sang Woo always works hard despite not being graced with talent, but he loses an audition won by a younger colleague of his. He learns that doing everything you can sometimes is not enough to get ahead. Features audio commentary with director.
# "Necrophilia" (dir. Lee Jong Hyuk, H)
To prepare for an article, a journalist meets a woman, and learns of the fine line between suicide and murder.
# "Incoherence" (dir. Bong Joon Ho, The Host)
Three strange people meet at a TV program discussing the problems in society. The members consist of a newspaper editor who steals other people's milk while jogging every morning; an elite attorney caught by a guard while relieving himself, dead drunk on the street; and a professor with a passion for pornographic magazines. Features audio commentary with director.
# "Hide and Seek" (dir. Kwon Il Soon, Forbidden Floor)
A little kid sleeps with her mother, happy and content. Then she wakes up, and her mother has disappeared all of a sudden. Features audio commentary with director.
# "Mind Your Own Business!" (dir. Shin Young Jae, Lost & Found)
A piece of paper falls into an empty place. As it changes into a cube, the paper enjoys that peaceful atmosphere all alone, but a variety of objects start interfering with it, changing its color and shape.
# "Perdix"(dir. Lee Wan Gyu)
Believing that man's strength always wins over electric power, Perdix tries to make a plane fly by simply pedaling. Feeling down after many failures, he decides to make a compromise to finally win that battle.
There's also no IMDB entry for the referenced
Lost & Found in what I assume is
Shin Young Jae's entry, and there's no entry for
Perdix's director Lee Wan Gyu (as far as I can tell--searching IMDB for Korean names is often an adventure!)

It seems like the IMDb wants this to be the big Marcel Carné year after all. No changes since the correct birthday was submitted a month ago...

Hi Knap
Well I got a note saying it was being actioned. Perhaps people are still weighed down with Xmas turkey and pud and will get round to it soon. If not look on the bright side, it might kick start a centenary flood of releases. Unfortunately according to Mulvaney it won't be Criterion.

The Sea and the Moons (1980)
I'm sorry I only have the English title of the last one.

I've submitted the first two from
Korean Academy of Film Arts - My Beautiful Short Stories Vol. 2. Couldn't find much info on them, but if I can get those two accepted I'll send in the rest. If you can provide transliterated Korean titles it might help.

I'm pretty sure that anything submitted at the very beginning of December should have been processed already. The IMDb sends out update receipts every time you submit something, but that doesn't mean that it's going to be processed - is that what you received? If the change hasn't been made within the next week you might want to post your reference number over on the IMDb's
Contributor's Help board and eventually an IMDb official will investigate.

Thanks again!

It turns out that Marcel Carné is himself responsable for the current confusion about his date of birth: for the second half of his career he cut three years of his age!
This shouldn't stop IMDb from taking responsibility as the main reference on these things and change from 1909 to 1906 as this year has been documented once and for all as the correct one. When the IMDb doesn't bother to correct their faults misunderstandings spread like a cancer on the web.

It looks like I will need the transliterated Korean titles in order to get these accepted. The two I sent in with English titles were rejected for that reason.

Someone - I'm guessing Nabob - posted on the IMDb's Contributors Help board on Jan 6th requesting an update. The IMDb officials are still digging out from the holiday backlog, but it looks like they've now answered questions through Jan 4th. As long as no one bumps that post it should only be a few more days before they provide an answer.
My job is going to be extremely hectic over the next couple months so I won't be able to submit much during that time. When time free up I'll return to this thread and send in what folks have posted.

Thanks. That's not something I'm capable of, not being able to speak (or read) Korean. I do have the liner notes now, and can send a scan of them to anyone who wants to transliterate (PM me), but failing that, all I can say is thanks for the effort, sienel.

That was indeed moi-meme but I still haven't heard a dickie. However one possible pro from this faux centenary is that in the UK we're getting L'air de Paris and Therese Raquin on dvd in March.

We'll see if L'Air de Paris can get any other supporters than David Hare with these releases!

Mechanics of Love by Willard Maas and Ben Moore.
Visual Variations on Noguchi by Marie Menken
The Cage by Sidney Peterson
House of Cards by Joseph Vogel
Christmas U.S.A. by Gregory J. Markopoulos
All on Kino's second
Avant-garde box set.
Also, a short film, Kitka, by Finnish Director Risto Jarva should be added as the film is an extra in couple of Jarva dvds. Information found on
this page (in Finnish but the right information is easily found).
Director, writer, editing: Risto Jarva
Cinematography: Pentti Maisala and Martti Saarikivi
Music: Kari Rydman
Lenght: 9 minutes
Other films mentioned on the page are also short films missing from imdb and directed by Jarva but they can not be so easily seen as Kitka.
And of course the films by Geoffrey Jones should be added.
Only Snow and Rail are mentioned at the site but there are plenty of more.

Les Berceaux seems to have been a popular song in France in the 30s. Dimitri Kirsanoff made a short feature that is sort of a music video for the song, and IMDb states this as having been made in 1935. Incredibly enough, Jean Epstein did exactly the same thing three years before! The latter however, is not mentionned on IMDb. I am adding the text from the Epstein entry of International Dictionary of Filmmakers. There are other things that should be added too, like the special effects for Duvivier's La Charrette Fantôme and the prologue for Kampen om tungtvannet.

IMDB doesn't have most Sri Lankan films from the period 1947-1966 (like Kadawunu Poronduwa, Sujatha, Seda Sulang, etc..) and minimal detail for movies released in the following years.

Many of the films from the new Painlevé set are missing. By my count:
Cristaux liquides (Liquid Crystals, 1978, 6 min, color)
Les amours de la pieuvre (The Love Life of the Octopus, 1967, 14 min, color)
Histoires de crevettes (Shrimp Stories, 1964, 10 min, color)
Acera ou le bal des sorcières (Acera, or the Witches' Dance, 1972, 13 min, color)
Diatomées (Diatoms, 1968, 17 min, color)
Les pigeons du square (Pigeons in the Square, 1982, 27 min, color)
Traitement expérimiental d'une hémorragie chez le chien (Experimental Treatment of a Hemorrhage in a Dog, 1930, 4 min, B&W)

re: Toshio Masuda - if there are particular titles you can suggest then I can try to get them added. I would need the transliterated Japanese title and year.
re: films from Sri Lanka - if you have specific requests (aside from the three that I have already sent in) then I can give it a shot.
Due to my inadequate linguistic skills it may be difficult for me to find enough information to get these accepted.
I'll try to work on the Risto Jarva titles - it doesn't look easy to find much information, but some are listed on the Finnish Film Classification Board site so I may be able to get those added.
Does anyone know what the transliterated Japanese title for Furukawa's
