Looks like a much better telecine of a superior element for the new R1 of Man of the West. It's a powerful, intelligent and surprisingly violent Western. If you haven't seen it - do so immediately.

At least Halloween can still be relied on for a couple of catalog horror releases: Philip Kaufman's 1978 Invasion of the Body Snatchers (for my money, the best version) and Dan O'Bannon's The Return of the Living Dead. Blu-ray, September 14.

Don't know if this is the correct thread, but Sony will be distributing MGM's output on Blu Ray

I wonder how that will affect the Criterion titles licensed from MGM, although they have relationship with Sony too.

I think I read Fox wants to keep the relationship going, only if they have the DVD/BR rights to the next Bond film.
