I emailed and was promised a refund of the price difference to my credit card. They couldn't change the price in my order since it is apparently already in the process of shipping.

That's why I didn't cancel. At first they said they couldn't do it. Then I asked why not. And then they said they would. Weird.

So I called and they said they can't make up for the price difference because it's less than $20 or something. My only option is to cancel and reorder. I asked if there might be a possible "queue" of orders, but they had no idea of what I was talking about. Anyway, I decided to just reorder it.

Mine is not in the process of shipping. Thinking this is a bad sign.

I just received notification that my copy shipped.

Just got upgraded from not yet shipped to shipping soon in the last few hours. \:D/

Jeez. I ordered pretty early on in this situation and mine is still "Not Yet Shipped." Considering the fact that there's obviously a finite amount of these, I'm getting concerned.

Status has changed to "In stock but may require an extra 1-2 days to process," which allegedly means that they have stock in at least one of their "fulfillment centers."

*takes a deep breath and thinks happy thoughts*

So before I keep dreaming of this set, has anyone actually received the DVDs? Mine's on the shipping soon status but I'm still doubtful. Hope my doubts are wrong.

Mine says it'll be here tomorrow, and it has tracking info and everything. I'll update when it actually shows, but it seems pretty probable to me.

Has anyone heard a peep from Criterion on whether or not this is back in print?

It's still OOP on Criterion's site, and I'd expect them to reflect a status change fairly swiftly.

Maybe Amazon discovered a couple of boxes in their warehouse...

A lot of boxes, by the looks of how many of these orders are being fulfilled! My order says "Shipping Soon," but I won't be truly happy until it ships... please?

It's still out of print, though, in that they aren't printing anymore. More entering circulation doesn't mean they are in print.
