That's a bad, bad closet. They didn't say anything interesting.

Bad audio, for sure. The disc choices are pretty good, but the "low affect" competition between the two doesn't inspire one to watch those choices.

I know they're promoting The Little Hours, but please tell me Jeff Baena was there to be involved in bonus features for a Criterion release of I Heart Huckabees!

Not quite on Youtube, but Criterion's put up yet another Bresson video on their website from Kogonada to promote his new film that's been a modest art-house hit.

I knew what his "essay" would focus on before I even clicked the link. Everyone can play this game: what's the most obvious and over-analyzed recurring motif in Bresson's work?

Man if you had told me that I'd ever see a filmic essay about doors before today I would have laughed at you.

The only reason this particular video isn't about Bresson's finger puppet obsession is because kogonada has made that video already.

That is one of the largest, most high resolution GIFs I've ever seen. It happens to be of George Costanza in gloves, but it's still sort of hypnotically gorgeous.

How telling is it that the first thing gone for is a replacement Norman Mailer Eclipse set (the prior copy having been "stolen by a friend")?

I don't love anyone enough to take on the burden of their Norman Mailer Eclipse set

Varda in the closet est tres adorable ... even though she likes Girls. Nobody's perfect!

Also, it looks like someone needs to buy her a Blu-ray player.

It also looks like it was c. 2015 or so as it was the old closet and it went up to 700.

I remember some clips of it were shown in a Closet Highlights a few months ago, so it definitely was filmed some time ago, and weirdly is only popping up now for some reason.

She's in town this week with Faces Places and they definitely made it sound like it was new.
